January Favorites

JanuaryFavorites2016

1. I baked some seeded rolls earlier this month and they’ve become an instant favorite. I’ll share the recipe in a separate post sometime.

2. Have you heard of the Typorama App? This app is awesome. And free. Perfect to help you design blog images or Instagram images when you want to incorporate text.

3. I had been looking for a light-weight infinity scarf for quite a while (because they’re so cozy) and I found the perfect one at Target earlier this month. Also: apparently I have a thing for all things gray.

4. I bought these Gaiam Om Breathe yoga pants a little while back with Kohl’s Cash that was about to expire (and you can always use a new pair of yoga/running pants anyway). I am super-pleased with them. I love the color combo (purple and gray! Two of my favorites) and like how they fit.

5. I am usually not a big fan of buying yarn at Michaels, but I recently found this new Cotton Fair yarn there and I really like it. It’s a lighter weight (which I prefer) and is soft and easy to work with.

6. When I packed up our old apartment in preparation for our move, I found a bottle of  L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil (which I had completely forgotten about)  in my bathroom cabinet. Needless to say, I was thrilled and have been using it since.

  1. i really do have a soft spot for that charcoal gray color too! :) thanks for the typorama recommendation – will have to check it out!

  2. I’ve been cleaning the office. It’s amazingly wonderful because I’ve been finding photo albums I forgot about, stories I’ve written about the dackels, and my Beatles CD collection!

  3. That Target scarf is super cute! Love the gray color, too.

  4. I’m a big fan of Fabletics leggings/capris. The material and support they provide is simply amazing. I have yet to find an equally comfortable pair.

  5. Ooooh, I love L’Occitane products so I would be excited about rediscovering that as well! And I will have to check out those yoga pants the next time I need some. Things I’m loving this month are salads as entrees for lunch, roasted butternut squash, days when the weather is mild, and knitting! I might actually finish my shawl if I keep knitting at the rate I have lately!

  6. I’m going to check out Typorama too – if I can ever get my phone back from Topher ;) I love those yoga pants! I usually buy mine at Old Navy but they’re not the best quality and they fade after just a couple of washes :(

  7. Love L’Occitane products, especially their hand lotion. I really need new workout clothes, those yoga pant look comfy.
Haven’t heard of that app yet, but I will definitely look into it! Happy Sunday xxx

  8. Now that I’ve finally actually started yoga, I’m on the lookout for good yoga pants, too!

  9. I have an unhealthy amount of scarves, and I always want more. I just can’t seem to stop.

Actually I have some yarn that I’m just not going to use, but it’s a soft thick one. Would you be able to use it? It’s a really nice purple color. I could send it to you and see if you could use it to make something.

  10. Oh man, one of my most favorite things about Germany is the heavy, dark and seeded bread. I could eat bread with every meal and between meals if all bread was like that! I can’t wait for you to post the recipe. Also, I got some L’Occitaine for Christmas a few years ago (!!) and I have been “saving” it for a treat. I should probably break it out and use it once in a while just for fun.

  11. I honestly do not need any more scarves but that infinity one looks amazing.
