2026 | Weekly Run Down 8/52 –  Feeling good!

I had another successful week of training. I’ve been really trying to pay attention to make sure I am not overdoing it with the Power Zone rides, but I don’t think I am because I am feeling good and I am hitting all my targets. So, I’ll just continue doing what I am doing.

Monday

  • 10 Min Daily Meditation – Anna (1/4/26)
  • 5 Min Warm Up Walk – Olivia (1/19/26)
  • Team Wilpers Half Marathon Training W7R1 | Endurance Run
    • 60 Min 80s Run – Susie (12/20/25) – PZ-W7AR
  • 30 Min 80s Walk – Susie (2/3/26)
  • 20 Min Yin Yoga – Denis (11/7/25) — The Streak/My Favs

I had today off and opted for some extra sleep in the morning. Because it was raining all day, I couldn’t do my endurance run outside (like I had hoped) and was – once again – thankful for having access to a tread. I really enjoyed Susie’s 80s Run (she has the best playlists!) and I met up with my friend #BCBabe Sherry for our Monday lunchtime walk afterwards. The Yin Yoga class with Denis was a nice substitute for a post-run stretch.

Tuesday

  • 10 Min BHM Meditation – Chelsea (2/15/26)
  • 10 Min Morning Mobility – Erik (1/1726) — For the Love of Self care
  • 5 Min Warm Up Ride – Jess K (2/16/26)
  • 30 Min Power Zone Max Ride – Matt (6/5/25) — PZ-W7R1
  • 5 Min Cool Down Ride – Matt (4/17/24)
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: For Runners – Zacharias (2/6/26) — The Streak

I started my morning with meditation and a 10-minute morning mobility class. I then hopped on the bike for a Power Zone Max Ride. The class structure was entertaining, and the 30 minutes flew by.

Wednesday

  • 10 Min Morning Mediation – Anna (2/4/25)
  • 5 Min Warm Up Walk – Susie (2/16/26)
  • Team Wilpers Half Marathon Training W6R2 | Progression Run
    • 45 Min Classic Rock Run – Matt (12/4/22) — My Favs
  • 5 Min Cool Down Walk – Susie (2/2/26)
  • 5 Min Post-Run Stretch – Jon (12/10/25)
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Core – Kirra (7/9/24) — The Streak/Focus Tracker

I started my morning with meditation and then headed over to our neighborhood gym. I had a half marathon pace progression run on my training schedule this morning, and I really like doing these target runs on the treadmill.

Thursday

  • 10 Min Morning Meditation – Denis (5/9/25)
  • 20 Min Core Strength – JJ (12/4/25) — Focus Tracker
  • 5 Min Warm Up Walk – Becs (9/20/21)
  • Team Wilpers Half Marathon Training W7R3 | Endurance Run
    • 45 Min Grunge Run – Tobias (7/18/23) — My Favs
  • 5 Min Cool Down Walk – JJ (9/30/24)
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Healthy Back – Anna (1/30/24) — For the Love of Self Care/The Streak
  • 20 Min 2010s Walk – Jon (2/9/26)

Today was for some core strength and an easy pace endurance run. Just how I like my Thursday. I finished the morning with a quick yoga flow and also went for a lunchtime walk.

Friday

  • 5 Min Warm Up Ride – Hannah F (10/28/24)
  • 30 Min Power Zone 2000s Hip Hop Ride – Hannah F (9/6/25) — PZW-7R2
  • 10 Min Foam Rolling: Full Body – Rebecca (4/30/25)
  • 30 Min Magic Mike Live Ride – Tunde (1/29/26)
  • 10 Min Savasana – Kristin (10/26/22)

I got to work out with Tanja (PZ Ride) and the #BCBabes (Magic Mike Ride) today. What a great start to the weekend!

Saturday

  • 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Matt (5/14/25)
  • Team Wilpers Half Marathon Training W7R4 | Long Run (11 mi)
    • 90 Min 90s Run – Susie (2/2/25) — My Favs
    • 15 Min 90s Rock Run – Jon (2/17/26)
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: For Runners – Denis (4/10/23)

Saturday is for long runs – 11 miles today. I can’t believe I am working myself up to half marathon distance again, but I guess it’s time (because my race is only three weeks away!). It was a cool, but sunny day, so perfect running weather! No complains over here.

Sunday

  • 5 Min Warm Up Ride – Bradley (9/22/25)
  • 60 Min Power Zone Ride – Christian (6/10/25) — PZ-W7R3
  • 5 Min Post-Ride Stretch – Ben (1/8/26)
  • 20 Min Core Strength – JJ (12/4/25) — Focus Tracker
  • 20 Min Restorative – Kristin (7/27/23) — Serenity Sunday/The Streak
  • 10 Min Meditation – Anna (5/25/21) — For the Love of Self Care

We’re nearing the end of the Power Zone Challenge and this week was the last more challenging Power Zone Ride – 60 minutes – before our last week’s taper. I didn’t know if I was ready for this when I got on the bike, but the class ended up being a lot of fun. It was great to know that Tanja and my sister were (virtually) riding by my side the whole time. I finished my morning with a 20-minute core workout and then joined the Streakers in the evening for restorative yoga and meditation for Serenity Sunday.

Current Challenges + Trackers:

The February trackers are almost complete. I have two self care boxes and a (bonus) core class left and I will of course try to finish out my daily yoga streak.

  1. Sounds like a great week! I don’t think you’re overdoing it, because you feel good. You would know if it’s too much.
Your race is in three weeks- that’s exciting! You’ll be ready. I can’t wait to hear all about it.

  2. Only you know if you are over doing things. Do you plan a taper as you near your race?

  3. Wow, time flies when you’re having fun! The race is three weeks away, and it sounds like you’re ready for it!

  4. You know I am in awe. Today I realized how often you are up in these high zones… Ha. If I make it to zone 3 I am good. But then I was training for the arctic where I am not supposed to get in any zones above 2 in order to preserve energy. I might consider a more HIT after the tour though… We’ll see.
