23: 2025 Weekly Run Down 47/52 – Countdown to Turkey Burn & Death by Tens

This week’s stats:

Running: 5 mi
Cycling: 26.2 mi
Walking: 11.2 mi
Strength: 135 min
Yoga/Pilates/Barre: 120 min
Warm up/Stretching: 55 min
Meditation: 90 min

I am linking up again for the Weekly Run Down with Kim and Deborah.

I continued the Countdown to Turkey Burn Challenge on the Peloton Platform this week. In case you forgot, it is a three-week cross-training program which includes three days of strength training, two days of cardio (ride, run, or row), and one 60-minute session “stacked however you want.” (These classes were new and offered on a LIVE schedule, but you can also take them on demand at your own convenience.) The program runs through Thanksgiving, but I already earned my badge (for completing 18 classes from the collection) this week. However, I am still planning to finish out the challenge this coming week.

For Saturday, my friend (and #BCBabe) Sherry invited me talked me into another Death by Tens challenge with her. I had previously participated in one of those challenges in June, and this time it was a Turkey Burn Bootcamp. “Death by Tens” is another fun unofficial Peloton Facebook Group that I belong to, and I had missed out on the previous event, which is why I was stoked to join again this time.

Like my Streakers365 Group, this group fosters community support and motivation among Peloton users by organizing group events based on workout stacks consisting of ten 10-minute classes. Don’t underestimate the 10-minute classes – if you do ten in succession, it all adds up quickly ;)

Tanja and I are also continuing to work through the 30 Day Thanks & Planks Challenge, and we’re up to 2 minutes. Eek. It’s getting tougher.

Monday

  • 10 Min Courage Meditation – Anna (2/7/23) — Focus Tracker
  • 30 Min Turkey Burn Yoga Flow – Ross (11/28/19) — Grateful for Self-Care/Personal Streak
  • 30 Days of Thanks & Planks – 1:30 min
  • 30 Min Sleep Mediation – Denis (7/27/25) — Grateful Gram

Monday was back to the office for the first full week and I set my alarm for 5 am (ugh). It’s going to be a bit of an adjustment to get into this (super) early routine again, especially when I am aiming to leave the house at 7:15 am. So for today, I only scheduled a meditation and a (longer) yoga class before work to see how much time I need to get ready and get myself out the door.

Tuesday

  • 10 Min Daily Meditation – Chelsea (11/16/25)
  • 45 Min Countdown to TB Full Body Strength Wk3D1 – Andy (11/17/25)
  • 30 Days of Thanks & Planks – 1:30 min
  • 10 Min Full Body Stretch – Adrian (4/28/21) — Grateful Gram
  • 10 Min Evening Flow – Mariana (9/10/24) — Personal Streak

I did Andy’s 45-minute Full-Body Strength Training this morning and really enjoyed it. 45 minutes intimidate me, but once you get started, it’s really not that bad.

Wednesday

  • 15 Min Barre: Express – Ally (4/22/25) — Grateful Gram
  • 30 Days of Thanks & Planks – 1:45 min
  • 30 Min Countdown to TB Ride Wk3D2 – Robin (11/18/25)
  • 5 Min Cool Down Ride – Denis (11/11/25)
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Hamstrings – Anna (6/18/24) — Grateful for Selfcare
  • 10 Min Morning Commute Meditation – Denis (11/18/25)

I did a little bit of everything this morning: a quick Barre class, a tabata ride, and a bit of yoga. I also highly recommend Denis’ Morning Commute Mediation. I needed to hear what he had to say, and I’ve bookmarked this class for future repeats.

Thursday

  • 10 Min Meditation for Healing – Anna (4/18/23)
  • 10 Min Countdown to TB Core Strength – Logan (11/18/25)
  • 5 Min Core Strength – Jess S (4/17/24) — Grateful Gram
  • 15 Min Countdown to TB Mobility – Andy (11/4/25)
  • 10 Min Morning Yoga Flow – Chelsea (9/27/23 — Personal Streak

I stacked a few shorter classes this morning. I had tentatively planned to get on the bike as well, but I dilly-dallied and ran out of time before having to leave for work. I did, however, earn my special badge today by completing my 18th class from the Peloton Turkey Burn Collection.

Friday

  • 10 Min Hozier Meditation – Anna (11/21/25) — Focus Tracker
  • 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Rebecca (7/17/24)
  • Team Wilpers Fall Run Challenge W6R2 | Steady State Run + 15 min easy
    • 45 Min Countdown to TB Run – Becs (11/20/25)
  • 45 Min Countdown to TB Full Body Strength – Andy (11/20/25)
  • 30 Days of Thanks & Planks – 1:45 min
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Quads – Chelsea (10/26/25) — Personal Streak

I ran errands in the morning and postponed my planned workouts to the afternoon. It’s usually not a good idea because it gives me more opportunities to argue for a “rest day”… but I am also usually good at just sticking to my plan, and so I did. As I mentioned in my Happy Things post on Friday, I ended up with really great run (my last catch-up run for the Team Wilpers Fall Run Challange), and I had energy to follow up with a 45-minute strength class.

Saturday

  • 30 Days of Thanks & Planks – 1:45 min

Death by Tens Turkey Burn Bootcamp

  • 10 Min Core Strength – Andy (5/12/25)
  • 10 Min Warm Up Ride – Olivia (7/18/23)
  • Extra 10: Intervals Ride – Ally (11/1/22)
  • 10 Min Climb Ride – Alex T (9/7/21)
  • 10 Min Arms & Light Weights – Hannah F (1/15/23)
  • Extra 10: Climb – Kendall (6/20/23)
  • Extra 10: Tabata – Robin (3/11/24)
  • 10 Min Cool Down Ride – Denis (3/27/25)
  • 10 Min Glutes & Legs Strength – Rebecca (5/20/25)
  • 10 Min Full Body Stretch – Callie (4/30/24) — Grateful for Self Care

  • 15 Min Restorative Yoga – Denis (1/23/22) — Personal Streak

I got up bright and early today to tackle the “Death by Tens” Turkey Burn Bootcamp 2025 with #BCBabes1 Sherry and Kristin. But first, I got my plank session for today out of the way. The Death by Tens stack was a great mix of strength and cycling classes this time and really fun, but we all agreed at the end: each 10-minute class seemed to last forever, but the stack flew by! As always, I didn’t regret the sweat fest, especially when doing it with friends. Plus, it felt good to be all done with my workout before 9 am!

Sunday

  • 30 Days of Thanks & Planks – 2 min
  • 20 Min Restorative Yoga – Anna (7/15/23) — Personal Streak/Serenity Sunday
  • 10 Min Seasonal Meditation – Kristin (10/31/22) — Serenity Sunday

I took a rest day today. I thought I was going to get maybe a little strength training or a short bike ride in, but nope. I had a phone marathon in the morning (I always talk with family in Germany on the weekends), and I simply ran out of time to do anything besides yoga and meditation for Serenity Sunday in the afternoon between dinner prep.

Current Challenges + Trackers:

This week, I completed my friend Sherry’s (#the_huntress06) ‘Grateful Gram‘. This was another bunch of fun classes picked by a Streakers365 friend. I loved Bradley’s 80s Rock Ride and Denis’ Sleep Meditation.

I managed to keep up with my other trackers as well, sprinkling meditation (focus tracker) and yoga (personal streak) throughout my week and picking classes from the self-care tracker. I really love having these guides to help me pick out a balanced mix of classes. It also really helps with the decision fatigue that sometimes sets in.

  1. Whoa, Death by Tens looks intense! I have not dipped my toe into any of these programs yet. Maybe in 2026… You do make it all seem very intriguing…

  2. I am doing a Thanksgiving 10k. It’s something I do every year when we don’t travel for Thanksgiving. It’s a race around lake about a mile from us so is very convenient!

Nice work on a very solid week of workouts. I imagine it’s quite the adjustment to get back to those early wake times to go into the office!!

  3. Hmm, you took a “rest day” on Sunday but I see you were up to a two minute plank- nice job!
Yes, it’s so hard to get back into an early morning routine! You did a good job of getting a nice variety of workouts in, s usual.

  4. I love it when the mediation aligns with something I need to hear. Glad that happened for you and it clicked with your mindset. When you add enough 10s together, it adds up. Truer words, never spoken.

Death by Tens! Love it! Good job on all of the workouts this week. You did a lot!

  6. I have been loving Andy’s turkey burn classes this year too! I need to try the cycle classes too. I like that death by tens challenge maybe next weekend. Have a happy Thanksgiving!

  7. I am jealous of your ability to hold a plank for 1:45 min. I think I can manage 45 seconds. Sigh…
