2026 | Weekly Run Down 36/52 – a strong week

Some of you had asked in the comments on last week’s post if they missed that I am training for a marathon (and which one!?). I just want to reiterate: I have not committed to another marathon yet, but just wanted to have a more structured running schedule. So I decided to use Team Wilpers intermediate marathon training plan to build up mileage. I mentioned it a few weeks ago, but I can understand how you all get confused when you look at my workout log and I don’t specifically state every week that I am not officially training for a marathon.

But I guess, I am also officially not NOT training for a marathon, because I will consider running another race depending how things go. So, I guess, we’ll see.

Monday

  • 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Matt (5/14/25)
  • Team Wilpers Intermediate Marathon Training W5R1 | Progression Run
    • 60 Min 80s Run – Susie (5/19/25)
  • 10 Min Yoga Flow: For Runners – Denis (4/9/24) — The Streak

I was going to leave for my run this morning around 6:15 am and realized: it was still a tad to dark outside and I had to wait another 15 minutes. And so the downhill slope into fall and winter begins. Let’s see how much longer I can do my run outdoors on weekdays before work. I had a progression run on schedule (2 miles at marathon pace, 1 mile at half marathon pace) and I was very happy with my execution.

Tuesday

  • 10 Min Peace Meditation – Anna (10/12/23) — Total Request Self Love
  • 10 Min Morning Yoga – Chelsea (4/2/26) — The Streak
  • 20 Min Full Body Strength: W4D1 – Adrian (10/2/23) — PUTV9
  • 5 Min Pilates Warm Up – Ash (8/21/26) — Advanced Beginner Pilates Program
  • 15 Min Advanced Beginner Pilates – Ash (8/21/26) — AB Pilates
  • 15 Min 90s Walk – Jon (12/18/23)

This morning started with a peace meditation (loved it!), some morning yoga, and 20-minutes full body strength. It’s the last week of the Pump Up The Volume 9 program. I also met up with my #BCBabes Lindsay and Melissa to start Ash’s Advanced Pilates Program. I hope we can take many of those classes together.

Wednesday

  • 20 Min Focus Flow: for Riders – Kristin (2/7/24) — Total Request Self Love/The Streak
  • Team Wilpers Intermediate Marathon Training W5R2 | Tempo Run
    • 30 Min 2000s Run – Matt (4/30/26) — Streakers Request
    • 30 Min Endurance Run – Matt (5/25/26)
  • 5 Min Post-Run Stretch – Matt (10/30/23)

I was happy that my #BCBabe friend, Lindsay, and I overlapped timewise for a yoga flow this morning. It was also a nice ‘warm up’ for the tempo run (at marathon pace)  that was on schedule for today. I executed it well, but it was one of those runs where you wonder how on earth you’d be able to hold that pace for 26.2 miles.

Thursday

  • 10 Min Arms & Light Weights – Sam (2/2/26) — Streakers Request
  • 20 Min Full Body Strength: W4D2 – Rad (10/2/23) — PUTV9
  • 20 Min Advanced Beginner Pilates – Ash (8/21/26) — AB Pilates
  • Team Wilpers Intermediate Marathon Training W5R3 | Easy Run
    • 30 Min Classic Rock Run – Susie (8/18/26)
  • 10 Min Restorative – Nico (8/31/26) — The Streak

I started my morning with strength training and then met up with Lindsay for another Pilates class.

Friday

  • 20 Min Advanced Beginners Pilates – Ash (8/21/26)
  • Team Wilpers Intermediate Marathon Training W5R5 | Easy Run
    • 30 Min AFO Run: Rüfüs du Sol – Rebecca (8/19/22) — Streakers Request
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: For Runners – Denis (4/10/23) — The Streak

I did another Pilates class for the Advanced Beginner Pilates Program and then went for a run for three easy miles. I finished with one of my bookmarked focus flows for runners.

Saturday

  • 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Matt (5/14/25)
  • Team Wilpers Intermediate Marathon Training W5R4 | Long Run
    • 120 Min Long Run – Becs (9/23/25)
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: For Hips – Denis (12/19/23) — Total Request Self Love/The Streak

More miles! Today my long run was up to 12 miles. I haven’t run 12 miles since my halfmarathon in March. I definitely went out with some respect for the distance. I was supposed to keep it easy – which I did – and I ended up having a great run, not the least because I picked a great 120-minute run with Becs and she had a very entertaining playlist!

Sunday

  • 20 Min Restorative – Ross (12/14/22) — The Streak/Serenity Sunday
  • 10 Min Gratitude Meditation – Chelsea (4/1/24) — Serenity Sunday

Today was a rest day. I only joined the Streakers for Serenity Sunday.
