Dare I call this week a return to a “normal workout routine” finally? I feel like there’s been one thing or another that has kept my workout schedule thrown off for a few weeks, but this week, it seemed like I was back to my somewhat normal routine. Well, except for the fact that I did not run. I was catching up on classes for the May trackers and prioritized working out with friends over running outdoors by myself… but since I’ll be starting a new running training cycle, I’ll be back at it soon.
Monday
- 15 Min Yoga Flow – Anna (4/9/24) — Sunflowers and Self Care/Personal Streak
- 10 Min Barre: Upper Body – Ally (4/17/24) — Buzzing for Barre
- 10 Min Pilates – Kristin (12/22/23) — Honey’Core’
- 20 Min Mother’s Day Ride – CDE (5/11/24) — We Bee Streaking
- 10 Min P!nk Cool Down Ride – CDE (1/25/24)
- 10 Min Mother’s Day Meditation – Kristin (5/9/21) — Sunflowers and Self Care
I started my day with a yoga flow, a barre, and a pilates class before hopping on a belated Mother’s Day Ride.
Tuesday
- 5 Min Warm Up Ride – Denis (4/2/24)
- 30 Min Bootcamp: Upper Body – Callie (4/26/24) — We Bee Streaking/Beehives ‘n’ Bootcamp
- 20 Min Focus Flow: Core – Mariana (5/2/22) — Honey’Core’/Personal Streak
- 10 Min Country Barre: Lower Body – Ally (11/22/23) — Buzzing for Barre
- 10 Min Morning Meditation – Ross (3/16/24) — Sunflowers and Self-Care
I “wasted” my #1350 milestone ride on a 5 min warm up, but at least it was with Denis and Melissa was on the leaderboard with me. We then joined the rest of the #BCBabes (minus Kristin) for an upper body bootcamp with Callie.
Wednesday
- Flash 15 – Jess S (12/22/23)
- 10 Min Barre: Lower Body – Ally (5/15/24) — Buzzing for Barre
- 30 Min WHM: 90s Ride – Emma (3/18/21) — We Bee Streaking
- 15 Min Focus Flow: Core – Mariana (10/14/23) — Honey’Core’/Personal Streak
- 10 Min Hip Mobility – Irène (5/14/24) — Sunflowers and Self-Care
Thursday
- 15 Min Core Strength – Robin (4/23/24) — Honey’Core’
- 30 Min Jewish American Heritage Ride – Jenn (5/7/24) — We Bee Streaking
- 15 Min Low Impact Ride – Bradley (4/12/24)
- 20 Min Focus Flow: Floor Poses – Denis (8/29/21) — Sunflowers and Self Care/Personal Streak
I started my day with Lindsay and Robin’s Core Strength and then it was a #BCBabes Party on Jenn’s Jewish American Heritage Ride. I added another low-impact ride and finished up with Denis’ focus flow on floor poses, which I really enjoyed.
Friday
- 10 Min Core Strength – Selena (12/23/20) — We Bee Streaking/Honey’Core’
- Flash 15 – Jess S (11/19/23)
- 30 Min Country Bootcamp – Callie (5/10/24) — Beehives ‘n’ Bootcamp
- 20 Min Creating Space Yoga – Kirra & Denis (5/14/24) — Personal Streak
I met up with the #BCBabes for a bootcamp this morning and I really needed the accountability this week. I mean, I was going to get up and work out either way but it’s just so much better (and easier) with friends on the leaderboard.
Saturday
- 10 Min Barre – Hannah C (3/18/24) — Buzzing for Barre/Personal Streak
- 5 Min Warm Up Ride – Robin (4/30/24)
- 30 Min Pacific Islander Vibes Ride – Denis (5/18/24)
- 10 Min Justin Timberlake Cool Down Ride – Jenn (5/16/24)
- 10 Min Core Strength – Emma (12/14/18) — Honey’Core’
- 10 Min Full Body Stretch – Ben (5/5/24)
Today was an impromptu #BCBabes party to celebrate a couple of milestones (not mine). Lindsay (#1050) and Sherry (#1300) both had ride milestones, and Sherry also celebrated 950 strength classes. Amazing. These milestones just keep racking up!
- 30 Min P!nk Walk – Jess S (8/31/23) —
- 10 Min Walking Meditation – Ross (10/10/23) — We Bee Streaking
- 30 Min Pop Walk – Kirsten (9/14/23)
Later in the afternoon, Jon and I went for a walk around the neighborhood. It was warm but a little breezy and that felt quite nice.

- 10 Min Yoga Flow: Core – Mariana (4/10/24) — Honey’Core’/Personal Streak

- 5 Min Cool Down Ride – Emma (2/6/23)
- 10 Min Energizing Meditation – Anna (9/28/23) — We Bee Streaking
- 20 Min Restorative Yoga – Ross (11/11/21)
- 10 Min Relaxing Meditation – Chelsea (12/7/22)
This morning we met up for Kristin’s 300th bootcamp! She picked a 60-minute class!
I admit I was a bit tired even though I went to bed early (I think I am still dealing with residual jet lag), but I still pulled off a PR this morning (don’t ask me how!) and felt very accomplished. I think it was my favorite workout this week! I also joined more Streakers365 in the afternoon for “Serenity Sunday” (restorative yoga + meditation).
Current Challenges + Trackers:
I’ve been chipping away at this month’s trackers and have been able to catch up on most of them except for the bootcamp tracker. I don’t think I’ll finish that one this month, but it’s ok, I’ll still try to get a few more bootcamps in before the end of May. Also, you might have noticed there is still no Pelotrak Instructor Bingo (hoping for the new app to be back soon!).

May 19, 2024 at 7:01 pmWow, you keep so busy! You certainly don’t “need” running to account for anything, LOL. Nice job with all those trackers and group challenges ;-)

May 21, 2024 at 9:39 pmHaha, thank you… I am itching to run again though :)

May 21, 2024 at 5:36 amIt must feel good to be back in the routine! I’m sure getting up and working out everyday helped tremendously with the jetlag. A break from running is probably a good thing- I’ll be interested to hear about your new training cycle soon.

May 21, 2024 at 9:40 pmYes! Getting back into my workout routine really helped with jetlag… I hardly had any problems getting back to my regular sleep schedule.

May 21, 2024 at 2:25 pmYou definitely kept busy this week! I feel like I’ve been off track lately too but we do the best we can. Did I miss something about your running? Are you injured or just taking a break?
San
May 21, 2024 at 9:39 pmI just took a little bit of a break from (structured) running because of all the travel. Not injured (luckily!) ;)

June 9, 2024 at 7:42 amSo, is the Barre focus a you-streak or a streakers streak? It seems like you have added more of those workouts recently! And wonderful getting back to it. I bet you missed your bike while you were traveling (although seeing family and friends >>>>>>>>>>> any piece of furniture, for sure).
