2025 Weekly Run Down 49/52 –  CIM week!

This week’s stats:

Running:  12.5mi
Cycling: 22 mi
Walking: 15.01 mi
Strength: 30 min
Yoga/Pilates/Barre: 130 min
Warm up/Stretching: 50 min
Meditation: 95 min

I am linking up again for the Weekly Run Down with Kim and Deborah.

It’s December, and we’re starting the new month on a Monday. I love when that happens. I’ve selected new trackers for this month and am looking forward to continuing the Team Wilpers Holiday Run Challenge, although I must admit that it’s challenging for me to fit in runs during the week right now. Why is the sunrise so late? Ugh.

This week was also California International Marathon (CIM) week. I was so excited to see so many inspiring runners take on the distance. One of my coworkers was running the relay, and I tracked a couple more runners that I know through social media. I also saw the 4:05 pacer, the same guy who got me off to a great race start last year. I would be lying if I said that my feet weren’t itching to race again.

Monday

  • 10 Min Patience Meditation – Kristin (1/26/23)
  • 15 Min Morning Mobility – Ross (5/4/23) — Focus Tracker
  • 20 Min Morning Slow Flow – Denis (3/27/25 — Personal Streak/Festive Fitness

Today was a planned rest day. I felt sore and tired from my strength training and run on Sunday, and I decided that mobility and yoga would probably be a good idea for today.

Tuesday

  • 15 Min Meditation for Anxiety – Kirra (9/16/25)
  • 5 Min Warm Up Ride – Emma (11/3/25
  • 30 Min Power Zone Endurance Ride – Denis (9/23/25)
  • 5 Min Cool Down Ride – Denis (11/11/25)
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: for Hips – Denis (12/19/23) — Personal Streak

I am signed up for a new Power Zone Challenge (finally) in January, so I thought it would be a good idea to get back to Power Zone rides. I started with a Power Zone Endurance ride with Denis today. Not too shabby. If you noticed a change in these Power Zone graphs, then you are very attentive. The Power Zone website got an overhaul… and I am not a fan. The entire app is now in dark mode (I dislike dark mode), and it features a neon yellow font on a black background. Meh.

Wednesday

  • 15 Min Breathing Meditation – Denis (12/2/25)
  • 15 Min Pilates: Express – Rebecca (11/30/25)
  • 15 Min Focus Flow: Core – Denis (3/25/22) — Personal Streak
  • 30 Min Holiday Walk – Jon (12/6/24) — Festive Fitness

I got in a holiday walk on my lunch break. I always love listening to Jon’s chatter. He has such a cute British accent. Spoiler alert: he thinks Michael Bublé is too clean-cut and not naughty enough. Haha.

Thursday

  • 10 Min Morning Commute Mediation – Denis (11/18/25) — Festive Fitness
  • 15 Min Pilates: Express – Rebecca (8/24/25) — Festive Fitness
  • 5 Min Warm Up Ride – Leanne (8/11/25)
  • 30 Min Power Zone Endurance 90s Ride – Matt (8/5/21)
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Quads – Kristin (3/27/24) — Personal Streak
  • 15 Min Sleep Meditation – Denis (9/27/25)

I started with meditation and a quick Pilates class (it might have been quick, but not easy – holy mo!) and then picked another Power Zone Endurance ride for today.

Friday

  • 10 Min Calming Meditation – Kirra (12/2/25)
  • 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Matt (5/14/25)
  • 5 Min Warm Up Walk – Susie (8/18/25)
  • Team Wilpers Holiday Run Challenge W2R1 | Power Hills
    • 30 Min Holiday Run – Susie (12/15/23) — 12 Days of 5ks
  • 5 Min Post-Run Stretch – Susie (10/29/25) — Focus Tracker
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Hips – Zach (12/4/25) — Personal Streak

I was a little behind with my training runs this week, but I finally managed to start week 2 of the Team Wilpers Holiday Run Challenge. The training plan called for a “Power Hills” workout and I decided to do it on the treadmill, because I don’t have a lot of “hills” in my neighborhood. I have access to a tread, so I should use it (amirite?).

I also tried out a class with one of Peloton’s new yoga instructors (Zach). It was a focus flow for hips and it was a really nice flow! He did some unusual poses, and it was a nice change. I liked his calm vibe.

Saturday

  • 10 Min Daily Meditation – Kirra (11/30/25)
  • 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Rebecca (7/4/23)
  • Team Wilpers Holiday Run Challenge W2R2 | Threshold Over/Under
    • 30 Min Holiday Run – Rebecca (12/13/21)
  • 15 Min Yoga Flow – Greta (12/6/25)

I ran some errands in the morning and had to postpone my run to the afternoon. I thought I might get back too late to run outside (sunset is so early now, peeps!) but it was still light enough that I got my 30 minute intervals done outdoors! I finished with yoga class with another new Peloton instructor (Greta). It was a great class.

Sunday

  • 20 Min Full Body Strength – Jess S (12/4/25)
  • 10 Min Core Strength – Adrian (12/6/25)
  • Team Wilpers Holiday Run Challenge W2R3 | Long Run
    • 30 Min 80s Run – Jon (11/23/25)
    • 30 Endurance Run – Matt (10/30/25)
  • 20 Min Restorative Yoga – Ross (11/11/21) — Serenity Sunday/Personal Streak
  • 10 Min Breatwork: Box Breathing – Denis (12/21/20)

I met up with Tanja in the morning for a bit of strength work and then headed out for my 60-minute run. I decided to run 3+ miles to the CIM race course (which goes right through my neighborhood), watch and cheer on the runners for a while, and then run 3+ miles back home. I caught and high-fived my coworker, who was running the second leg of the relay, around mile 23. It was fun to be a spectator, but I also relived some of my memories from last year’s race day because I remember these last few miles all too well. I finished my week with restorative yoga and meditation for Serenity Sunday.

Current Challenges + Trackers:

We have new trackers for December, horray! There’s a tracker for 12 days of 5ks (that should be relatively easy), a self-care tracker, a focus tracker (I chose “stretching” for this month), and our personal streak tracker (which has been and will continue to be daily yoga).

Streaker365 Focus Tracker: Stretching
Streaker365 Wrapping up with Festive Fitness
Streaker365 12 Days of 5ks
Streaker365 December Personal Streak (Daily Yoga)
Streaker365 Serenity Sunday (restorative yoga + meditation on Sundays)

How was your week? Did you run a race?

  1. Nice week! I’m gonna tag that hip yoga class (form Friday)…looks like something I could benefit from!

  2. I need to do more mobility work again too. I’m loving my December core challenge, Robin’s 30for31 challenge and Emma’s 14 days of core. You must be rubbing off on me! LOL

  3. You would hate my phone and my computer set up – I am Dark Mode All the Way. ;)
Amazing week, as always. I love how you comment on the non-exercise characteristics of the Peloton instructors – having so much variety in instructors’ approaches and (in this case, accents) sounds like fun. :)
