2025 Weekly Run Down 35/52 – Double-digits, baby!

This week’s stats:

Running: 16.4 mi
Cycling: 31.3 mi
Walking: 19.11 mi
Bootcamp: 30 min
Strength: 40 min
Yoga/Pilates/Barre: 80 min
Warm up/Stretching: 80 min
Meditation: 80 min

I am linking up again for the Weekly Run Down with Kim and Deborah.

I ran a 10-miler this week! The first double-digit run since my marathon in December. Wow. I didn’t know it had been that long (thank you, Garmin stats!). It’s a good indication of how distracted I have been so far this year. Running has not been the priority that it was last year. Yeah, I ran consistently, but never more than 6 miles. I am giving myself grace, and I know I can always ramp it up again if I want to. It just felt good today to see double-digits again.

Monday

  • 10 Min Morning Meditation – Ross (10/14/23)
  • 30 Min Camp Full Body Strength – Andy (6/10/24) — Streakers Camp/Stronger into Summer
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: For Runners – Denis (4/9/24) — Personal Streak
  • 5 Min Boxing Stretch – Kendall (12/7/22) — Camp Retreat
  • 30 Min Metabolic Health Walk – Matt (11/3/24)

Since I did another double-workout on Sunday, I decided to make my Monday low key (as in, no cardio) and followed through with my plan to incorporate more strength training again. I needed Andy’s Camp Full Body Strength class for the Streakers Camp tracker and it was the perfect start to my Monday morning.

I also met up with my friend #BCBabe Sherry again for a lunchtime walk. I love Matt’s walks where he chats with health experts, and this was another great one. At the end, Matt said that the Peloton App really decreases the friction to exercise, because you have so many great classes – of all different lengths and modalities – at your fingertips, and I couldn’t agree more! It makes staying consistent so easy for me.

Tuesday

  • 10 Min Daily Meditation – Kirra (8/10/25)
  • 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Jess S (7/9/25)
  • 30 Min HIIT & Hills Run – Matt (10/18/23) — Streakers Camp
  • 10 Min Cool Down Walk – Andy (7/15/22)
  • 5 Min Post-Run Stretch- Joslyn (1/15/24) — Camp Retreat
  • 30 Min Intention Setting Walk – Kirsten (8/19/25)
  • 10 Min Savasana – Kirra

Since the Team Wilpers Summer Run Challenge ended last week, I had to pick my own runs this week. I chose a HIIT & Hills Run this morning.

I was running late for my lunchtime walk with Sherry, and I almost skipped it, but since we had a “date“ and I was still going to catch her during the last 10 minutes, I still got outside and we connected briefly. That’s what an accountability buddy is for!

Wednesday

  • 10 Min Daily Meditation – Chelsea (5/4/25)
  • 5 Min Warm Up Ride – Ally (12/9/24)
  • 45 Min Power Zone Endurance Classic Rock – Matt (3/3/23) — PZ-W5Ride1
  • 5 Min Cool Down Ride – Matt (5/6/25)
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: For Riders – Denis (8/26/25) — Personal Streak
  • 30 Min Hike – Jess S (2/20/25) — Streakers Camp

I had a Power Zone Endurance Run scheduled in the morning, followed by a focus flow for riders.

I also joined my friend Sherry for her 700th walk during my lunchtime. What an amazing milestone (I am currently 13 walks shy of #350)!

Thursday

  • 10 Min Happiness Meditation – Nico (5/2/25)
  • 10 Min Arms & Shoulders Strength – Assal (8/6/25) — Streakers Camp/Stronger into Summer
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: For Runners – Kristin (6/7/23)
  • 30 min HIIT Run – Jon (7/24/25) — PZ-W5Run1
  • 10 Min Stretch for Golfers – Irène (6/14/24) — Camp Retreat
  • 30 Min Oasis Walk + Run – Becs (8/6/25)

I started my day with a Morning Meditation (like most days) and then did a little bit of arms & shoulders work, and a focus flow for runners before heading out for a 30-minute HIIT Run for the Power Zone Challenge – eleven 30-second speed intervals. So fun!

Friday

  • 10 Min Breathing Meditation – Anna (3/7/25)
  • 5 Min Warm Up Ride – Hannah F (1/9/23)
  • 30 Min Bootcamp: Full Body – Callie (5/23/23) — Streakers Camp
  • 5 Min Cool Down Ride – CDE (4/17/25)
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: For Riders – Ross (4/24/24) — Personal Streak

I finally made time for a bootcamp class again. It had been a while, but I needed to complete the Streakers Camp tracker.

Saturday

  • 10 Min Relaxing Meditation – Nico (2/23/25)
  • 5 Min Warm Up Ride – Sam (3/4/22)
  • 30 Min Power Zone Max Ride – Matt (9/22/21) — PZ-W5Ride2
  • 10 Min Oasis Cool Down Ride – Sam (8/6/25)
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Hips – Kristin (5/1/24) — Personal Streak

I allowed myself to sleep in on Saturday morning. Originally, I had planned to run, but by the time I was up and ready to workout, it was already so hot outside that an outdoor run was ill-advised, so I switched my Saturday and Sunday workout and did a 30-minute Power Zone Max Ride for the PZ Challenge instead. Holy, mo, that was a spicy ride!

Sunday

  • 10 Min Breathing Meditation – Ross (6/26/24)
  • 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Matt (5/14/25)
  • 45 Min Endurance Run – Susie (2/14/25) — PZ-W5Run2
  • 45 Min Rock Run – Andy (8/6/25)
  • 5 Min Post-Run Stretch – Andy (8/6/25)
  • 20 Min Restorative – Aditi (3/11/21) — Personal Streak
  • 10 Min Gratitude Meditation – Chelsea (11/23/22)

I had a 45-minute endurance run on schedule today, the second run for week 5 of the Power Zone Challenge, but I was itching for a longer run. I didn’t know how many miles I would get in because a) I haven’t done longer runs in a while and b) it was already 76F when I left the house (and temps rising quickly). I thought I would just see how it goes. You guys, I ended up running 10 miles – the first double-digit run for this year! I was so stoked.

I also joined for Serenity Sunday in the afternoon – I always look forward to restorative yoga and meditation with my Streakers Group!

Current Challenges + Trackers:

Somehow I missed a yoga class this month and I am only slowly getting back to strength training, but I finished two of the Streakers Camp trackers successfully for August. Our Streakers Admin always organize a raffle for everyone who completes a tracker during the month. It’s a bit of extra motivation and this is the second time this year that I won the prize! Hooray! What a nice surprise!

  1. Wow, San, congrats on hitting double digits again! I love how you’re giving yourself grace while still staying consistent, it’s such a healthy approach. Sounds like your week was a perfect mix of runs, strength, and meditation.

  2. Way to go on the on 10 miles! Running has not been a priority for me this year either and I’m leaning more into strength . It is ok-running will always be there when we want it. Nice balance of workouts this week

  3. The fact that you can run 10 miles without any issues without training for that kind of distance shows how great of shape you are in! I’m training for a 10 mile race right now and the only time I will run 10 miles is on race day!

I’m thinking of de-emphasizing running next year and want to do more strength training/HIIT/etc. I bought a class pack for Orangetheory Fitness so will try to do one class/week when I am done training for this 10 mile. I feel like my body composition would be better if I prioritized strength training. You are great about doing a variety of workouts – I tend to just focus on running when training for a race.

  4. Man… you low key days are my intense days. You are really raising the bar here.
My week was alright exercise wise. unfortunately I am struggling with migraines when I do endurance work outs which is not helpful for the arctic trip. Good thing I am realizing it now. Hope I find a solution to handle it.

  5. I’m impressed by not only the 10 mile run, but the addition of strength into your rotation! It just grows by the week. I hope getting back to a semblance of a routine has helped you feel a bit more like yourself. <3
