2025 Weekly Run Down 15/52 – Power Zone Challenge Week 3 and another (figurative) lemon

This week was Week 3 of the Saturday Night Zones Power Zone Challenge and it started out great but then went downhill from there. I had been working ahead to finish the Power Zone rides early because I had weekend plans. Unfortunately, things did not turn out as planned because I got sick at the end of the week and instead of spending the weekend with the #BCBabes1, I spent it on the couch. We were going to surprise Lindsay for her baby shower and I was so bummed that I couldn’t be there. Sigh. I am honestly ready for this year to turn itself around any minute now!

Monday

  • 30 Min Power Zone Endurance Ride – Hannah F (12/20/24) — W3R2

  • 20 Min Sleep Meditation – Ross (3/12/21)

I did week 3, ride 2 of the Power Zone Challenge and it was a long-intervals Zone 3 ride, my favorite!

Tuesday

I was a little bit short on time in the morning, so my morning meditation and a quick yoga flow had to do.

Wednesday

I contemplated doing the 45-minute power zone ride but I had to leave for the office early today, so I opted for some yoga and a quick 90s Rock ride with Denis.

Thursday

  • 10 Min Morning Meditation – Ross (9/16/23)
  • 5 Min Warm-Up Ride – CDE (7/29/24)
  • 45 Min Power Zone Ride – Matt (9/15/21) — W3R3
  • 5 Min Cool Down Ride – Matt (4/17/24)
  • 10 Min Arms & Light Weights – Denis (12/9/24) — April Focus
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Hips – Kristin (5/1/24) — Personal Streak
  • 20 Min Sleep Meditation – Kristin (7/19/22)

I finished up week 3 of the Power Zone Chalenge with this fun Power Zone Ride. The zone 5 intervals are so fun and made the 45 minutes fly by. I also got started on the Arms & Light Weights Tracker and ended with a quick yoga flow.

Friday

I woke up feeling – and sounding – awful. I was scheduled to join Lindsay for her strength milestone in the morning (which she canceled) and then head to the airport to fly and surprise her, but I had to make the difficult decision to cancel my trip. I just couldn’t travel in good conscience. Instead, I spent the afternoon on the couch and did a savasana and sleep meditation in the evening.

Saturday

Saturday was more of the same. Some meditation, a lot of lying on the couch and an evening stretch with Matty.

Sunday

  • 20 Min Sleep Meditation – Ross (3/12/21)

I joined for Serenity Sunday – restorative yoga and meditation – in the afternoon.

Current Challenges + Trackers:

The new April trackers are out and I picked four of them. I will continue my daily yoga streak, work on some arm strength with the Arms & Light Weights tracker, choose some fun classes for the “Collect the Musical Eggs” tracker, and keep focusing on “Egg-ceptional self-care” this month.

  3. So sorry your week went off the rails, friend. I hope that this week is better on multiple fronts (work, health, etc. etc.). You still brought it – every day! – and listened to your body. Go, you. <3

  4. I really hate that you had to cancel your trip! You really needed something positive for a change! I got a run/walk combo in this weekend. It was so freaking cold, though. I’m SO OVER WINTER WEATHER.

  6. So frustrating to get sick. And then you can’t even work of your frustration of missing the trip by exhausting yourself on the peloton. I am sorry friend.
