I am linking up again for the Weekly Run Down with Kim and Deborah.

This week was my birthday week. Another lap around the sun. This seems to happen faster and faster but I am thankful for every year. I know it’s a privilege to grow older and with the world going to hell in a handbasket and so many people around me suffering from health issues right now, I am extra-thankful for feeling stronger again and being healthy! Although I kept my workout schedule pretty fluid, it was a good week.
Monday
- 20 Min Full Body Mobility – Andy (8/1/23)
- 20 Min Classic Rock Walk – Susie (7/31/24)
- 20 Min 80s Walk – Jon (3/4/25)
- 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Rebecca (7/17/24)
- 45 Min 80s Run – Matt (9/25/22)
- 45 Min Hip Hop Heroines Walk – Jess S (3/6/25)
- 10 Min Savasana – Nico (8/31/21) — Personal Streak
Monday was my birthday. I did not feel very celebratory for many reasons, but I had the foresight of taking the day off from work (as I have done for a number of years now!) and it was the best decision. I slept in, then Jon and I walked to and from brunch, and I went for a run in the afternoon because I always run on my birthday! I picked up my (free) birthday drink from Starbucks and then walked another 2 miles back home. I like having an active birthday!

Tuesday
- 10 Min Spinal Mobility – Rebecca (10/23/24)
- 10 Min Arms & Lights Weights – Leanne (5/1/24)
- 30 Min New Wave Ride – CDE (3/4/25)
- 5 Min Cool Down Ride – Hannah F (7/16/22)
- 5 Min Lower Body Stretch – Selena (1/14/25)
- 10 Min Focus Flow: Hips – Chelsea (2/3/25) — Personal Streak
- 5 Min Sleep Meditation – Anna (7/11/24)
I started my day with some mobility work and then joined #BCBabes1 Lindsay and Melissa for an Arms & Light Weights workout. I randomly picked a recent New Wave Ride with Christine and loved it so much that I immediately had to recommend it to Tanja. I knew she’d love the playlist!
Wednesday
- 10 Min Focus Meditation – Anna (37/25)
- 10 Min Wrist Mobility – Andy (2/6/24)
- 10 Min Focus Flow: For Runners – Kristin (6/5/24) — Personal Streak
- 20 Min 90s Ride – Cody (2/18/25)
- 5 Min Post-Ride Stretch – Cody (1/17/22)
- 10 Min Sleep Meditation – Chelsea (1/15/25)
I had no real plan for today. I decided on some mobility work and a yoga flow, before I jumped on a 20-minute 90s ride for a bit of cardio. I was so thrilled when Rachel joined the class! She told me in a comment that she saw the “friend working out now” notice pop up and was psyched to see my name, because “Ride with San” was one of her goals this year. Awww. This really made my day! It was so awesome to know she was riding on the other side of the screen!!
Thursday
- 10 Min Courage Meditation – Kristin (8/15/23)
- 15 Min Yoga Flow – Anna (6/4/24) — Personal Streak
- 30 Min Power Zone Endurance Ride – Denis (3/21/24)
- 5 Min Post-Ride Stretch – Alex T (12/10/24) — Time-Out for Self-Care
- 15 Min Sleep Meditation – Anna (3/13/25)
I almost opted for a semi-rest day today and was going to be done after the yoga flow, but then discipline won over (lack of motivation) and I hopped on a 30-minute Power Zone Endurance Ride with Denis.

Friday
- 10 Min Calming Meditation – Anna (3/15/25)
- 30 Min Restorative Yoga – Kirra (7/15/22) — Personal Streak
Unintended rest day. I had set my alarm to cycle with the #BCBabes in the morning, but when the alarm went off, I turned it off and opted for two more hours of sleep. Oh well. I guess my body needed it. I decided to do a restorative yoga class later in the afternoon, after running all my errands for the day.
Saturday

- 10 Min Morning Meditation – Chelsea (3/13/25)
- 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Jon (2/23/22)
- 45 Min 90s Run – Jon (3/15/25)
- 5 Min Cool Down Walk – JJ (9/30/24) — Bounce into Spring
- 5 Min Get To Know Me Walk – Jon (2/9/25)
- 5 Min Get To Know Me Yoga Warm Up – Denis (2/9/25)
- 15 Min Focus Flow: For Runners – Mariana (4/9/24) — Personal Streak
- 15 Min Sleep Meditation – Kristin (5/23/23) — 500th meditation
I got out for an afternoon run. It is hard right now to fit in runs because it’s still dark outside in the morning, I have to work out earlier than I was used to because I have to leave the house at a certain time and I don’t know why, but I haven’t made it over to the gym yet – probably because the Peloton bike is just over there in the other room. But it felt good to run through my neighborhood today. I also celebrated my 500th meditation while I was falling asleep.

Sunday
- 10 Min Calming Meditation – Kirra (1/7/25)
- 5 Min Get To Know Me Warm Up Ride – Matt (2/9/25)
- 30 Min Power Zone Endurance Ride – Matt (9/3/24)
- 10 Min Full Body Stretch – Jess S (5/3/21) — Time-Out for Self-Care
- 30 Min Full Body Strength – Rebecca (3/16/25)
- 20 Min Restorative Yoga – Anna (3/8/21) — Personal Streak/Serenity Sunday
- 10 Min Relaxing Meditation – Kristin (11/20/23) — Serenity Sunday
- 10 Min Sleep Meditation – Chelsea (3/13/25)
I finally met up with Tanja again for a Power Zone Endurance Ride this morning. We are both signed up for the next Power Zone Challenge, Saturday Night Zones, which starts this coming week, and we enjoyed Denis’ Zone 2 Ride in anticipation of the challenge.
I also celebrated #BCBabe Kristin’s 2700th strength class milestone a little later and joined yoga and meditation for Serenity Sunday in the afternoon.

Current Challenges + Trackers:
I am chipping away at the trackers. Yoga and self-care are imperative right now, and I really like fitting in more mobility classes.

Streaker365 Bounce into Spring
Streaker365 Mobility in March
Streaker365 Time-Out for Self Care
Streaker365 March Personal Streak (Daily Yoga)
Streaker365 Serenity Sunday (restorative yoga + meditation)

March 17, 2025 at 3:37 amHappy belated Birthday!! As you saw, I always run on my birthday as well. For years, I’d run 3.14 miles, but since 2020 I’ve been doing the Week of Pi gig… running those 3.14 daily miles in the seven days leading up to my bday. Hey, why not? I’m just glad my body is early in the year so such a challenge is quite doable :-)

March 17, 2025 at 3:48 amAnother wonderful week of workouts for you! I am curious – do you see a big difference with your commitment to meditation and yoga? I know – I really do – that I *should* incorporate more self-care, but I am always reluctant to take the time.
Birthday workouts? Absolutely. My mantra is, “Begin as you mean to go on”. I try to start the year off right by doing those things that make me feel most ‘me’. And workouts are a part of that! I’m lucky to be able to move my body, and keeping that up is immensely important to me as I (am lucky enough to) get older. :)

March 17, 2025 at 5:33 amHappy Belated Birthday! Running is the perfect way to celebrate. It’s nice to feel that although we’re getting older, we’re still getting stronger and better. Having said that, I probably won’t run on my birthday this year (it’s this week!) because it doesn’t fit in with my schedule. But I’ll definitely do something active.
I’m also curious to hear your answer to Anne’s question- do you feel the effects of all your yoga and meditation?
