I am linking up again for the Weekly Run Down with Kim and Deborah.
I had a good week and I think I am finding my groove with marathon training. I like having my week pretty much planned out for me and knowing what’s on the schedule. I run Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat, and Sun and try to fit in some strength classes, core work, and yoga around it. I am a little bummed to not be able to do as many classes with Tanja or the #BCBabes1 right now, but I know this is temporary while we’re all pursuing our own things.
Monday
- 15 Min Morning Mobility – Ross (5/4/23)
- 30 Min Yoga Flow for Runners – Kristin (3/6/24) — Personal Streak
All I got today was some mobility work and yoga and I enjoyed this rest day!
Tuesday
- 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Rebecca (7/17/24)
- 45 Min Easy Run
- 10 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Matt (5/21/19) — Road to 26.2

- 10 Min Focus Flow: for Runners – Denis (10/31/23) — Personal Streak
I started my day with a 45-minute easy run. Then Tanja joined me for a strength class and a yoga flow and I am so glad she enjoyed it, even though they were both geared towards runners.
Wednesday
- 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Rebecca (7/17/24)
- 50 Min Intervals (8×200 @ anaerobic capacity /200 m easy + 400m @ threshold /200 m easy)
- 10 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Becs (5/21/19) — Road to 26.2

- 10 Min Focus Flow: For Runners – Kristin (6/5/24) — Personal Streak
- 10 Min Core Strength – Callie (7/30/24) — Ab-versity
I had speed intervals for breakfast this morning and I enjoyed them. As always, I was procrastinating getting out the door, but since I had a ride scheduled later, I couldn’t dilly-dally for too long and then it was fine. I need to remind myself that I enjoy interval work! When I got back, I hopped on the bike with my sister and Tanja for a climb ride with Denis. It was by popular request! Both my sister and Tanja prefer higher resistance with lower cadence, I personally enjoy higher cadence with lower resistance. Haha. You can’t please everyone. We finished with some yoga and core work.
Thursday
- 30 Min Strength for Runners – Rebecca (7/1/22) — Road to 26.2
- 30 Min Bike Bootcamp: Upper Body – Cody (9/25/22) — ABCs Bootcamps

Cross-training day = no running. I am doing strength for runners on Thursdays and then opted for a bootcamp.
Friday
- 45 Min Easy Run
- 20 Min Rock Run – Matt (4/29/22) — Road to 26.2
- 20 Min Classic Rock Run – Becs (7/23/24))
5 Min Cool Down Run – JJ (9/4/23)
- 30 Min Bike Bootcamp: Full Body – Callie (11/30/21) — ABCs Bootcamps
- 5 Min Cool Down Ride – Jenn (8/20/24)
- 10 Min Full Body Stretch – Callie (8/31/23)
- 5 Min Full Body Stretch – Adrian (9/7/22) — Back to Bliss
I wanted to finish this month’s bootcamp tracker and was happy to know that we usually have a bootcamp on the schedule for Fridays. So I completed my easy run early and joined the #BCBabes for a full body bootcamp with Callie. It was more challenging than expected. The 15 minutes of stretching afterward felt really nice.
Saturday
- 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Rebecca (7/17/24)
- 10-mile run
- 45 Min Rock Run – Andy (1/21/23)
- 45 Min Rock Run – Becs (1/4/21)

- 10 Min Pilates – Kristin (1/5/23) — Back to School Strength/Personal Streak
- 10 Min Arms & Light Weights – Joslyn (8/6/24) — Back to School Strength
Long run day! I had 10 miles on the training schedule for today and picked two rock music classes for entertainment. The playlists didn’t disappoint. I recently learned that Becs Gentry is a huge Pearl Jam fan – just like me! – and so I can usually expect at least one Pearl Jam song in her (rock) classes now. I finished with 10 minutes of Pilates and a light arm strength workout.
Sunday
- 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Rebecca (7/17/24)
- 55 Min Run
- 10 Min Long Run Warm Up – Matt (5/21/19) — Road to 26.2

- 20 Min Rock Ride – Denis (11/25/23) — End Zone Energy
- 20 Min Arms & Shoulders Strength – Andy (8/5/24) — Back to School Strength
- 10 Min Focus Flow: Core – Denis (1/17/21) — Personal Streak
I went for some easy miles in the morning and then met up with Tanja for a little bit of cycling and strength training. Andy got our arms and shoulders burning. I am expecting to be sore tomorrow.
- 20 Min Restorative Yoga – Ross (6/4/21) — Serenity Sunday
- 10 Min Energizing Meditation – Kristin (5/8/21) — Serenity Sunday
In the afternoon, I joined for some yoga and meditation for Strearkers365’s Serenity Sunday again.
Current Challenges + Trackers:
I almost finished all the Streakers365 trackers for this month. I missed the extra credit 60-minute bootcamp, a yoga class for my personal streak (pure oversight!), and a couple of 5-minute extra credit core classes, but I am pretty happy with what I got accomplished :)
I started new trackers for September today, but I’ll share those next week!

September 2, 2024 at 6:33 amI definitely prefer climb rides to high cadence. But I bet higher cadence is better conditioning for running if it translates to your running cadence too. You’re following a tough schedule!

September 2, 2024 at 5:24 pmI would say you got a LOT accomplished this week! Sounds like marathon training is going great, and you fit in some other fun things as well.

September 3, 2024 at 6:09 pmWell, you’re killing it, which surprises no one! I’m not even surprised that you’re still doing so much on Peloton, despite running so much! Keep it up!

September 4, 2024 at 5:12 amWooo Hooo! Your training is going awesomely! I’m cheering for you!

September 4, 2024 at 6:12 amI don’t think I would ever classify a 45 minute run as ‘an easy run.’ Ha. I, too, love a good stretch after a particularly challenging class. The weather here is less hot and my runs have been in really pleasant weather.

September 6, 2024 at 2:22 amHappy that the longer miles are going well so far! Marathon training often does mean having to drop a few of the other fun workouts temporarily, but its worth it!
