2025 Weekly Run Down 6/52 –  a “normal” week

This week’s stats:

Running: 5 mi
Cycling: 30.6 mi
Strength: 30 min
Yoga/Pilates/Barre: 120 min
Warm up/Stretching: 65 min
Meditation: 125 min

I am linking up again for the Weekly Run Down with Kim and Deborah.

This week felt like a “normal” week. Workout-wise. I was back on the bike, joined Tanja for three (!) Power Zone Rides, and finally went for my first 2025 run in my neighborhood (I did run once when were were down in SoCal). Between being sick, being gone for 10 days, and a few days of rain, I didn’t get to run here until Saturday. It felt so good to be on my home turf and it did wonders for my mood. Running makes me smile when nothing else can.

Tuesday

  • 15 Min Morning Meditation – Chelsea (11/14/24)
  • 10 Min Pilates – Irène (9/11/24) — Who adores your Core?
  • 30 Min Power Zone Endurance Ride – Denis (5/18/22)
  • 20 Min Yoga Flow – Denis (1/28/25) — Personal Streak/Saved with Love
  • 10 Min Sleep Meditation – Nico (1/15/25)

I started my morning with Meditation (really helping right now) and then did some Pilates. When I got on the bike, I saw that Tanja was on the LB (yay!), so I joined her for Denis‘ PZE Ride. It’s been a minute since I did power zone ride and my HR was still a little elevated, but my legs felt good. We ended with a yoga flow which was so good that I bookmarked it for a repeat.

Wednesday

  • 15 Min Witness Meditation – Ross (5/26/24)
  • 5 Min Warm Up Ride – CDE (11/25/24)
  • 30 Min Power Zone Endurance Ride – CDE (12/9/24)
  • 10 Min Duran Duran Cooldown Ride – CDE (1/11/23)

  • 10 Min Savasana – Kirra (6/20/24) — Personal Streak

I got to ride a Power Zone Ride with Tanja and my sister this morning. I love when this works out across time zones (because they’re both in Germany).

Thursday

  • 10 Min Patience Meditation – Ross (11/12/23)
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Core – Chelsea (9/24/24) — Personal Streak/Who adores your core?
  • 10 Min Playdate: Full Body Stretch – Adrian & Matt (10/4/24) — Hearts & Harmony
  • 10 Min Sleep Meditation – Kirra (11/17/24)

It was my office day and I opted for some yoga and stretching before work.

Friday

  • 10 Min Morning Meditation – Anna (2/4/25)
  • 20 Min Creating Space Yoga – Kirra (5/7/24) — Personal Streak/Hearts & Harmony
  • 30 Min Bootcamp – Cody (2/4/25)
  • 10 Min Lower Body Stretch – Carrie (10/22/24) —  Saved with Love
  • 10 Min Sleep Meditation – Kristin (6/3/21)

I got to bootcamp with #BCBabes1 again today. Finally! It’s been way too long. We also stretched together for the “Saved with Love” tracker.

Saturday

  • 10 Min Morning Meditation – Ross (2/17/24)
  • 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Rebecca (7/17/24)
  • 30 Min Pop Run – Jon (12/3/24)
  • 20 MIn 80s Run – Joselyn (1/21/25)
  • 5 Min Post-Run Stretch – Alex T (2/5/25) — Saved with Love
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Core – Kristin (11/22/23) — Who adores your core?

I went for my first 2025 run in my neighborhood this morning. I cannot believe I am saying this, but the last few weeks have just been so bonkers, but I did hit 2k minutes on the Peloton platform for this year.

Sunday

  • 5 Min Gratitude Meditation – Kristin (6/1/22)
  • 45 Min Power Zone Endurance Ride – Matt (8/19/24) — Saved with Love
  • 20 Min 80s Ride – Robin (10/19/22)
  • 20 Min Full Body Strength – Katie (11/22/24)
  • 5 Min Full Body Stretch – Andy ()

Oh boy, I was on the struggle bus when I joined Tanja for a 45 min Power Zone Endurance Ride this morning. It was only the third PZ Ride in a while and the intervals were just a touch too long and my heartrate is still a little elevated, so I took some Zone 1 breaks when I needed them. As I always tell Tanja “you do what you can and give your best, and everything else follows”. Yup. Taking my own advice today!

  • 20 Min Restorative – Kirra (9/13/21) — Serenity Sunday/Personal Streak
  • 10 Min Deep Relaxation Mediation – Aditi (10/22/24) — Serenity Sunday
  • 10 Min Evening Stretch – Matty (11/21/24) — Hearts & Harmony
  • 10 Min Sleep Meditation – Kirra (3/15/24) — Hearts & Harmony

I also participated in the “Valentine’s Day Stack Exchange” and the #BCbabes and I did Kristin (#scales_R4_fish)’s stack today. I really enjoyed the strength class with Katie Wang! I think it’s the first time I took a class with her (she also teaches rowing).

  1. Always feels good to get back to your regular schedule! Nice week!

  2. Yay, back to routine! I admire your commitment to all the meditation you do!

  3. I am a routine girl at heart, so I completely understand why it feels like a big relief to be back in your own space.
It can be so hard to listen to our bodies and the limits it’s quietly (or not so quietly) telling us we need. Gold stars for listening <3

  4. Running makes me smile – when I’m done running. ;) I’m glad you got into your groove for a normal week on your home turf. I’m hear you on how that makes a big difference. I love that you line up your rides with your sister and Tanja despite the time zone differences, so fun.

  5. I’m so glad you felt back in your routine. It can be really hard to be off kilter.

Looks like you are coming back strong and consistent, so that’s also wonderful! Keep it going!

  6. Hi San! Hooray for a “normal” week. I just read your previous posts, and I’m glad you’re feeling healthy & strong, and home sweet home. I’ve been thinking of you because I found a news app called Straight Arrow News, abbreviated SAN! It seems like a good way to get the news, rather than drudging through the slog on social media!

  7. Yay for being back to normal.
I don’t know if running makes me smile but sometimes when it’s over. LOL.

  8. Yay for running! Yes, no matter what else is going on, running makes me smile.
It took a while, but it feels like we’re finally settling into the new year! Nice week of workouts : )

  9. There is nothing like a normal week after a long stretch without one. <3
