This week’s stats:
Running: 40.4 mi
Hiking: 4.5 mi
Strength: 80 min
Yoga/Pilates/Barre: 65 min
Warm up/Stretching: 45 min
Meditation: 10 min
I am linking up again for the Weekly Run Down with Kim and Deborah.
I struggled a bit to stay on top of my workouts this week. I’ve been a bit short on time and just tired. I got my core workouts in but haven’t done much extra in terms of strength or mobility work. I had to ask my coach to rearrange my training plan to accommodate work commitments and a short overnight trip to Tahoe (Fri/Sat) with friends. I am also trying to clear the chaos in our new home (not everything is unpacked yet despite the best efforts on my part).
Monday
- 30 min Halloween Yoga Flow – Kristin (10/31/22) — Candy Hunt
- 10 Min World Mental Health Meditation – Anna (10/9/24) — Ghouls Just Wanna Have Self Love
Rest day! I am enjoying these low-key Mondays with some yoga and meditation, especially after PeloFondo.

I’ve started to take advantage of having access to a gym and completed my interval run on the treadmill this morning. I also did some strength training afterward.

I ran on the treadmill again because it was my office day and I had to get it done early. Running on the treadmill feels hard (I haven’t run on a tread in a long time) and I prefer being outdoors, but it’s so nice to have the option!

Another running milestone: I ran 17 miles today – my longest run yet. I also ran into a fellow Fleet Feet runner who stopped me along the way and told me he followed me on Instagram. Haha. I don’t think I’ve ever met any Instagram follower “in the wild” but it was a nice encounter.
Current Challenges + Trackers:
I feel like I am slacking a little bit (esp. when it comes to my daily yoga streak) but I’ve just been a bit short on time this week. It’s ok. I am not stressing about it.

October 28, 2024 at 5:13 pmI am just not doing anything because I’m sick. So I’m living vicariously through you!
I might try some stretchy yoga poses tomorrow because I think some of my muscle soreness is from just laying around all day, but I don’t think I’m up for anything that involves strength or cardio just yet.

October 28, 2024 at 5:39 pmOh no, I am sorry to hear you’re sick. Then it’s definitely best to rest and listen to your body! I hope you feel better soon!

October 30, 2024 at 5:48 amPoor Engie. I’ve only had COVID once, but it sucked :(
You have so much on the go!!! Of course you’re tired. I hope you bounce back quickly, but also have some time to rest and recuperate. Moving alone is stressful, but add a job and marathon training. It makes a lot of sense you’re tired. Sending hugs.
