2025 Weekly Run Down 50/52 –  Traveling for fieldwork

I was traveling for work this week and had long days of fieldwork, so my workout schedule was a bit haphazard, but I managed to keep my yoga streak, check off a few classes for my trackers, and complete all three runs for the Team Wilpers Holiday Challenge. Plus, I got to work out with Tanja and a couple of the #BCBabes1 (Kristin and Lindsay) on Sunday. I call this a successful week.

Monday

After three days of running over the weekend, I took a rest day on Monday. I did some meditation and a yoga flow in the morning before my colleague picked me up for a week of fieldwork in the Central Valley. I finished the day with a bit of evening mobility work at the hotel before bedtime.

Tuesday

I did a morning meditation and a full body stretch in the morning before a long day in the field. In the evening, I took advantage of the hotel gym and got one of my scheduled interval runs done. Not my preferred time to run, but it was nice to have the option to get on the treadmill.

Wednesday

A long work day means a quick morning meditation and some evening yoga.

Thursday

Another long work day means another quick morning meditation and restorative yoga before bed.

Friday

I returned home from my work trip in the early afternoon, but took a nap and could only muster a restorative yoga class.

Saturday

I had to catch up on the Team Wilpers Holiday Run Challenge and headed out for a steady-state run with strides in the morning. I picked Susie’s holiday run to keep me entertained. I like that her playlist included some British holiday classics.

Sunday

I met up with Tanja for a 20-minute full-body strength class, then we joined #BCBabes Kristin and Lindsay for a Holiday Ride with Ben. He was wearing a knit Christmas sweater and I already started sweating just looking at him. I headed out for my Team Wilpers long run with four easy miles and a 5-minute finish at marathon pace.

Current Challenges + Trackers:

I’ve enjoyed some holiday classes for the festive fitness tracker this week, continued my yoga streak, and completed three 5+ks for the 12 days of 5ks tracker. I also worked on getting more stretching.

    A day of fieldwork sounds interesting. The December trackers are so cute – I love the ones that look like ornaments. I’m loving the holiday music! I did Emma Lovewell’s holiday ride and the playlist was so much fun!
