I am linking up again for the Weekly Run Down with Kim and Deborah.

Hooray, it was PeloFondo Weekend again this week! This was going to be my 8th (!) PeloFondo – can you believe it? Tanja and I signed up again with our Streakers Team (the same team we join for the Power Zone Challenges) and I even got my sister to commit to riding some miles for our team. All the #BCBabes1 were signed up as well.  It’s always better to ride with friends.

Monday

  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Wrists – Kristin (5/29/24) — Summer Radiance
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Core – Anna (7/29/21) — Core on Tour

I took a rest day today and only did a couple of short yoga classes in the morning for my trackers.

Tuesday

  • 15 Min Yoga Flow – Ross (6/5/24) — Personal Streak
  • 10 Min Full Body Stretch – Ross (6/6/24)
  • 10 Min Sleep Meditation – Ross (3/14/22) — Summer Radiance

Another rest day…. who am I? :) Engie asked in my last Weekly Rundown what would happen to my body if I took a rest day or if I get sore from inactivity. Haha. I know it seems like the logical conclusion, right? In fact, all that happens is that I get ‘antsy’ to get back to my routine. But I do take rest days, for the record.

Wednesday

  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Core – Kristin (12/14/21) — Core on Tour/Personal Streak
  • Flash 15 – Jess S (10/15/21)
  • 30 Min Bootcamp: Core – Callie (7/5/24) — Highway Havoc
  • Extra 10: Climb – CDE (5/8/23) — Road Trip
  • 30 Min 80s Rock Ride – Ben (7/14/24)
  • 5 Min Post-Ride Stretch – Ben ( 8/11/23)

Sherry, Lindsay, and I did an old focus flow with Kristin and now I remember why I bookmarked. It was really good. We also did a Flash 15 with Jess Sims and then a bike bootcamp with Callie. Sherry and I added a climb ride one for the Road Trip tracker. I was ready to shower when my sister (in Germany) texted me to say that she was going to the gym and was hoping to ride with me. So instead of showering, I got some work done first and then hopped onto the bike again for a 30-minute 80s Rock Ride with my sister. It’s always so much fun to ride together – even across time zones!

Thursday

  • 10 Min Family Meditation – Kristin (4/10/21) — Summer Radiance/Road Trip
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Core – Kirra (4/22/22) — Personal Streak/Core on Tour

Tanja and I met up for a bike bootcamp this morning and Sherry, Lindsay, and Kristin joined us for the Family Meditation afterward. The meditation with Kristin was from 2021, but it was wonderful – both the mantras and the meditation music. I finished with a core yoga flow.

Today was the first day of PeloFondo! But before hopping on the bike to log miles for my Streakers365 team, I had a 90-minute long run on my running schedule. Eek. I got out early and we finally had some pleasant overnight temperatures in the mid-50s. It was such perfect running weather.

When I came back, I hopped on the bike and started pedaling my legs out. As mentioned, I had invited my sister (in Germany) to join for PeloFondo and log some miles for my team, so we did Bradley’s Aerosmith Ride together. She had already done another ride beforehand and didn’t have more time, but I got to ride the next few rides with some of the #BCBabes. Yay. Denis’ Rock Ride was my favorite. He was in a rocking mood and the playlist was amazing. The ride got bookmarked!

  • 60 MIn Country Ride – Denis (5/25/24) — PeloFondo

  • 20 Min Restorative Yoga – Anna (5/23/22) — Personal Streak/Serenity Sunday
  • 10 Min Family Meditation – Ross (4/3/20) — Serenity Sunday

Today was Day 2 of the PeloFondo and the #BCBabes and I had put together an all “Denis Stack” for the day (we’re all big fans of Denis!). It was such a fun day to ride and collect miles together for our Streakers365 team. My favorite ride was – again – another 30-minute Rock Ride. Can you sense a theme here? I bookmarked the ride to take again later. Great playlist!

Tanja’s and my workout times unfortunately didn’t overlap this weekend, but she finished an impressive amount of miles this weekend herself.

I joined for Serenity Sunday later in the afternoon. Restorative yoga felt just right after getting 40 miles yesterday and 65 miles today for a total of 105 miles for the PeloFondo weekend!

  1. aka Bootcamp Babes (a small “subgroup” of Streakers who started doing Bootcamp Classes (Bike + Strength) together) ↩︎
  1. You are such an inspiration – 105 impressive miles… Congratulations!

  2. Well done! Impressive stats. Love how you use Peloton for the community and challenges!

  3. Wow. What an EPIC week for you, San. And I just love the idea of you and your sister riding together…an ocean apart <3

  4. Wow a 90 min run before the Pelofondo? That is pretty ambitious! Sounds like you are ready for a triathlon :) nice work this weekend. I still have not done a Pelofondo. Kinda sorta might think about it sometime

  5. I love that you were able to do a ride with your sister! Very cool! You had a very active week as usual!!

  6. Ugh, another PeloFondo has come and gone, LOL. I keep meaning to do them but I never remember. I love all the rock-themed rides you stacked on there. I have just the basic subscription, so I only have access to three runs OR three rides each month. I’m not a fan of this change (it went into effect back in December or January (I think?), but I still have access to most of the strength workouts.

  7. That’s just amazing! Look at all those miles! Congratulations.

Thanks to you, I started a second workout challenge (my first is streaking): 28 days of wall pilates. I don’t have a cute tracker, but now I want to make one!

And well done on the rest days! They are so important.

  8. Once again, I bow in admiration to you, San. You’re really doing all the things!

  9. Wow – PeloFondo looks immense! Well done – that’s so much time in the saddle and so many miles ridden in a weekend.

  10. AMAZING job as always, San. What Jessie said is totally true – you seem to find so much benefit from Peloton as one of your key social networks in addition to one of the important ways you maintain your mental and physical health. )
