2025 Weekly Run Down 3/52 – On the mend

This week’s stats:

Cycling: 15.3 mi
Strength: 20 min
Yoga/Pilates/Barre: 120 min
Warm up/Stretching: 15 min
Meditation: 30 min

I am linking up again for the Weekly Run Down with Kim and Deborah.

Blergh. I still struggled with recovery this week. This lingering cough was awful. I was trying to take my own advice and be ok with resting. It was hard but worth it and towards the end of the week, I finally felt better.

I felt better this morning and decided to do some light pedaling on the bike. I admit that I also had FOMO that I was missing PeloFondo weekend and decided that if I got on the bike, I might as well collect some miles for my Streakers365 PeloFondo team. So I did. It’s nowhere near my previous PeloFondo mileage, but every mile counts, right? And it felt good to be part of a team effort.

Current Challenges + Trackers:

I dropped the “Blast off into 2025” tracker, because who am I kidding? I am not blasting off into this year by any means. But I’ve been keeping up with daily yoga and I’ve continued to chip away at the self-care tracker. That seems to be my theme for January.

Streaker365 Creating Space for Self-Care
Streaker365 January Personal Streak (Daily Yoga)
Streaker365 Serenity Sunday (restorative yoga + meditation)

How was your week?

  1. Glad to see you were able to work out while recovering from your illness! It seems like everyone has something right now. I think Coco is participating in the PeloFondo too! How fun!

  2. I’m so glad you’re feeling better…but the colds/bugs circulating seem to really have “staying power” this winter.
It can be so hard to rest, especially when something is happening you’re keen to participate in, but it seems to make recovery faster so gold stars <3

  3. I wonder if you had flu! I know you got the shot, but it didn’t work all that well this year from what I’ve read. Josh and I both got the shot and both of us had flu (tested pos). I actually never really got sick (!) but he was super sick for days with lingering cough and fatigue. (the only kid who got it was G! all got shots.) I hope you are continuing to feel better!!!!

  4. It’s hard to blast off into the new year when you start off sick! Your body obviously needed the rest, and you’ll get back on track. Glad you’re starting to feel better!

  5. Kudos on the daily yoga, and glad you are on the mend! Not a great way to start the year but it sounds like you needed the rest. Hope the upcoming week is better for you!

  6. I’m glad you felt like moving again. Those lingering coughs are tough to shake. I hope you feel stronger each day, but also give yourself a break.

  7. All that yoga had to feel good! I’m glad you’re feeling better :-)
Yeah, I keep missing the PeloFondos, LOL! I did one, January of ‘22, and haven’t been back (due to forgetfulness).

  8. I’m so glad you are starting to feel better again. That virus really knocked you around.

  9. Glad you are on the mend.
I have suffered from a cold the past days too. It sucks. Specially when you are motivated to do something. I have however done yoga daily since the beginning of January and I really enjoy it.
