I am linking up again for the Weekly Run Down with Kim and Deborah.
I am a creature of habit, so I’ll be keeping up with my workout recaps on Sundays during NaBloPoMo. If that’s not your thing, feel free to skip these posts. I am currently training for my first marathon, so I am running a lot. I am pretty good at sticking to a plan and I am really glad I am following a plan right now because I have to admit that if it wasn’t for the training plan, I’d be slacking a bit right now. Luckily, discipline > motivation works!
Monday
- 15 Min Lanebreak — Candy Hunt
- 10 Min Focus Flow: For Runners – Denis (4/9/24)
- 30 Min Sleep Meditation – Ross (2/22/23) — Ghouls Just Wanna Have Self-Love/Personal Streak
I had a meeting early in the morning and postponed my workout until the evening. Monday was my rest day, so I kept things low-key and just pedaled on the bike for 15 minutes, stretched a bit in Denis’ yoga flow an did a full 30-minute sleep meditation before bed. That was nice.
Tuesday
- 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Rebecca (7/17/24)
- 60 Min Easy Run + Strides
- 60 Min 80s Run – Susie (7/13/23)
- 30 Min Strength for Runners – Rebecca (8/26/22) — Road to 26.2
- 5 Min Full Body Stretch – Logan (8/25/24)
- 15 Min Sleep Meditation – Kristin (3/15/24) — Personal Streak
It was 45F/7C when I headed out for my 60-minute easy run with strides this morning but it was pleasant to run outdoors when the sun came out.
Wednesday
- 20 Min Halloween Arms & Shoulders – Callie (10/29/22)
- 10 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Becs (5/21/19) — Road to 26.2
- 60 Min Interval Run (2 x 10 min @ threshold + 1 x 5 Min @ V02 Max)
- 60 Min Marathon Race Prep – Robin (9/10/19) — Road to 26.2
- 10 Min Savasana – Kristin (10/26/24) — Personal Streak
Another cool morning, maybe fall is finally knocking on our door? We had a very warm October and I am enjoying the cooler morning temperatures. I am not enjoying that I cannot get out for my run before 7:30 am.
Thursday
- 20 Min 80s Ride – Bradley (10/26/24)
- 30 Min Strength for Runners – Andy (8/26/22) — Road to 26.2
- 10 Min Focus Flow: For Runners – Kristin (6/7/23) — Personal Streak
Tanja joined me for a quick 20-minute 80s ride and my strength for runners class.
Friday
- 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Rebecca (7/17/24)
- 50 Min Easy Run
- 30 Min Rock Run – Andy (1/21/22) — Road to 26.2

- 30 Min Disney Bootcamp – Callie (4/12/22) — Gratitude Jar/Fit Before Feast
- 10 Min Focus Flow: Healthy Back – Kirra (8/6/24) — Personal Streak
I completed 5 easy miles before jumping on the bike with Tanja and the #BCBabes1 for a bootcamp. I hadn’t done a bootcamp in a while and it was so much fun especially because I got to work out with friends! I finished with Kirra’s healthy back yoga flow, which was good!
Saturday
- 75 Min Run + Strides
- 10 Min Long Run Warm Up – Matt (6/5/19) — Road to 26.2
- 30 Min Endurance Run – Matt (10/24/24)

- 5 Min Cool Down Run – Matt (5/23/24)
- 10 Min Savasana – Kristin (10/26/22) — Personal Streak
I had other commitments in the morning, so I opted for the treadmill in the afternoon to get my easy run in. It was nice because I got to work out with Jon (who did his walk on the treadmill next to me).
Sunday
- 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Rebeca (7/17/24)
- 16-mile run
- 30 Min 90s Run – Mayla (5/2/24)
- 30 Min 2000s Run – Matt (3/21/24)

- 30 Min Pop Run – Becs (11/30/23)
- 10 Min Focus Flow: Floor Poses – Kristin (4/3/24) — Self-Gratitude/Personal Streak
Sunday Long Run! I had another 16 miles on the training plan. It was sunny, but quite windy today. Does headwind count as hill training? Asking for me, haha.
Current Challenges + Trackers:
I wrapped up the October trackers this week. As you can see, I only finished the Candy Hunt but slacked a little bit on the self-care and personal streak. Let’s just say, I had a lot going on last month and I am glad I was able to keep up with my marathon training plan. Anything else was extra!
Of course, I did pick a few new trackers for November because otherwise I would have FOMO and I really enjoy the creativity our Streakers365 admin team puts into those trackers.

November 4, 2024 at 12:50 amI need a bit of your discipline. I have been very lax on my yoga routine as I feel so tired. Ever since day light savings I wake at 5.30 and can’t go back to sleep until seven and then I am so exhausted to wake up. Sigh…
But at least I do the walks daily.

November 4, 2024 at 5:49 amYou had a great week! Sounds like your marathon training is going really well. I’m eyeing those “sleep meditation” classes… I think I need those.

November 4, 2024 at 1:58 pmI highly recommend the sleep meditation. Sometimes I forget and then when I restart them, I wonder how I fell off the bandwagon. Every single time!

November 4, 2024 at 6:11 pmI often times have a a tough time falling asleep (my brain refuses to turn off,LOL), but the meditation classes definitely help. I can’t imagine staying awake, though for 30 minutes of meditation…I’d probably be out well before the class ended ;-) Nice job with all those miles an workouts!
