2023 Weekly Run Down 48/52 – SUMMIIT Stride

I am linking up again for the Weekly Run Down with Kim and Deborah.

I finished all my seven (!) Streaker365 November trackers this week (see below) and I also completed week 4 of the “Must See PZ” Power Zone Pack Challenge. I know, don’t ask how I can keep up with it all… I think it must be partially extremely good organizational skills (haha) and partially luck.

On Saturday, I participated in the SUMMIIT Stride Event (which is the run version of the PeloFondo). You pledge miles for your team and then run on the day of the event. Our Streakers365 team pledged a total of 232 miles and 44 participants ended up running 254.36 miles. Way to go, team!

I met up with the #BCBabes Kristin, Sherry, Lindsay, and Melissa for Ally’s LIVE Barre Class and a 30-minute core bootcamp this morning.

Tuesday

  • 5 Min 80s Pop Warm Up Lanebreak
  • 30 Min XOXO, Cody – Cody (2/5/20) — I am thankful A-Z/PZ-W4AR
  • 5 Min Core Strength – Emma (11/19/23) — Planksgiving

Sherry, Melissa, and I took the XOXO, Cody Ride for “X” for the “I am thankful A-Z” tracker this morning, it was one of the last couple of classes I had left to complete the tracker!
I then ventured out into the cold for a 30-minute run. It was 36F/2C this morning when I left the house. Brrr. I am not equipped for this weather. But at least the sun was out!

Wednesday

  • 10 Min Blink-182 Warm Up Ride – Bradley (11/16/23)
  • 30 Min Power Zone Ride – Matt (8/10/23) — PZ-W4R1/Instructor Bingo
  • Extra 10: Low Impact – Mayla (10/23/23) — Instructor Bingo
  • 15 Min Morning Yoga Flow – Kristin (10/26/23) — Personal Streak/Instructor Bingo

I procrastinated this morning because I didn’t want to do the Power Zone ride. I knew there were going to be intervals in Zones 5 + 6. Tanja was on a work trip this week, so I didn’t have anybody to hold me accountable. I finally got myself on the bike and was happy to see another friend on the Leaderboard who had also just started the ride, so I had a friend riding with me after all. And later Sherry hopped into the ride for some drive-by high fives. That was really nice.

Thursday

  • 10 Min Morning Yoga Flow – Chelsea (9/27/23) — Personal Streak
  • 5 Min Warm Up Ride – Ally (9/19/23)
  • 30 Min Hip Hop Tour: Midwest Ride – Kendall (10/2/23)
  • 5 Min Post-Ride Stretch – Ben (8/11/23)

Today’s workout was short and sweet. A 10-minute morning yoga flow (which was really nice!)  and then Kendall’s Hip Hop Tour: Midwest Ride with Sherry and Lindsay. I had a doctor’s appointment at 8 am (annual checkup) and it was my office day, so I didn’t have any extra time (or flexibility) to fit in more.

Friday

  • 10 Min Low Impact Dance Pop Lanebreak — Instructor Bingo
  • 30 Min Power Zone Endurance Ride – CDE (8/23/23) — PZ-W4R2/Instructor Bingo
  • Extra 10: Low Impact – Tunde (11/28/22) — Instructor Bingo
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Hamstrings – Aditi (4/7/22) — Personal Streak/Stretching into the Holidays/Instructor Bingo
  • 10 Min Core Strength – Matty (7/21/23) — Instructor Bingo
  • 5 min Full Body Stretch – Matty (3/6/23)

I had to get week 4, ride 2 of the Power Zone Challenge out of the way in the morning. I also got started on the new December trackers. Can you believe we’ve entered the last month of 2023?

Saturday

  • 10 Min 80s Pop Warm Up Lanebreak
  • 30 Min AT’s Run to Greatness – Alex T (3/29/23) — Instructor Bingo
  • 20 Min Rock Run – Jess K (1/17/22) — Instructor Bingo
  • Extra 10: Hike – Adrian (1/30/23) — Instructor Bingo
  • 20 Min Strength Roll Call: Core – Rad (8/23/23) — Core Snowball Challenge/Instructor Bingo
  • 5 Min Basics: Supine Figure Four – Denis (8/13/21) — Personal Streak

It had rained overnight but temperatures were mild this morning. A perfect morning to go for a run and get some miles in for SUMMIIT Stride and my Streaker365 team. I originally, a while back, pledged three miles because I had no idea what was going on this weekend, but when I set out for my run this morning, I knew I could double that mileage and was able to submit 6.2 miles for our team.

Also, have you guys done lane break rides for warm ups (or cool downs)? I hadn’t done the lanebreak rides in a long time, but had to do one for Instructor Bingo and it was actually fun.

Sunday

  • 30 Min 90s Rock Yoga Flow – Kristin (12/3/23) LIVE — Personal Streak
  • 5 Min Warm Up Ride – Hannah F (11/27/23)
  • 45 Min Power Zone Ride – Denis (1/12/21) — PZ-W4R3
  • 5 Min Cool Down Ride – Emma (2/6/23)
  • 5 Min Post-Ride Stretch – Emma (9/21/23)
  • 30 Min Glutes & Legs Strength – Jess S (12/3/23)

I joined Lindsay, Melissa, and Kristin this morning for some milestones (yoga and strength) and also tackled week 4, ride 3 of the Power Zone challenge with Tanja. It was a 45-minute Power Zone Ride with 2-minute intervals in zone 5. Sweaty but oh-so-good.

  1. Congrats on wrapping up your November trackers/challenges and being happy with your results. I’m looking forward to seeing your next set of holiday challenges – you always have such clever ones.

  2. Wow, you sure do keep busy! Great job, not just on getting it all done, but on keeping track of everything ;-) It got really cold in Iowa, especially early in the week. Now, this next week is showing temps in the 40’s/50’s…I might be running in shorts!

  3. Hmm, I have no idea what most of these things mean … but it is making me feel tired. You are amazing.

  4. Congrats on keeping up with and finishing all of your trackers! Very impressive friend!

  5. I’m totally exhausted reading everything you’ve done. Great job and wish I could be half as active you.

  6. Yay! Look at you keeping on! Nicely done.

  7. Whew! Sorry I haven’t visited in a while but you have been BUSY! 36 would be warm here, btw (actually it is warmish today, for here, but not running today as I’d planned.

You have a great variety of activity, too!

  8. I don’t know if they track this, but I would not be surprised if you were in the top percentile of Peloton users!! What a great week!
I finally got back to doing workouts after a long break due to kid illnesses and such. I did 2 Caroline Girvan workouts on Sat and Sun. Sat was a lower body one and I was SO SORE afterwards. I think the elevated hip thrusts with a weight is what made me so sore – I’m still sore today.

  9. Wow, you crushed it as usual this week! Congrats on all your challenges. And, 36 degrees? Sounds nippy, but I would be into it- I would prefer that over 86.
    Have a great week!

  10. Great week of workouts! You accomplished a lot in November!

  11. As always, an amazing week! So glad you got such lovely running weather on Saturday. :)
    What ARE the lanebreak workouts??
