Friends, despite the hiccups we’ve experienced with this swap last year (due to Covid and postal delays, and whatnot), I decided that I still wanted to host another Secret Santa (Mug) Swap this year.
It’s going to be the 6th year in a row and I feel committed to continuing this tradition of spreading some holiday cheer. I am posting the sign-up form a little earlier this year to allow a bit more time for shipping, so packages will hopefully arrive before the holidays. I’ve also decided to open it up to people in Germany and Canada (if I can get at least two people per country to sign up, so I can match them with each other to avoid international shipping charges and delays). I remember that some people were interested last year, but couldn’t join because they were not in the US.
Would you be interested in participating (again) this year?
I decided to keep the rules loose again. Just put together a little Christmas package for your assigned swap partner and put a smile on someone else’s face this holiday season. As a self-identified mug addict, I still think a mug is always a fun gift, but I am not making it mandatory. If you have some other great gift idea, go for it!
How to participate
+ Sign up to participate (see link below). I am going to keep the sign-up open for a week. Sign-up closes on November 12th.
+ You’ll receive a name + address, plus some information about your swap participant via e-mail on November 13th.
+ Put together a little surprise holiday package for your Secret Santa participant. My suggestion is to spend around $15 (plus postage) or whatever you’re comfortable with.
+ Please send out your package by Friday, November 26th (to allow extra time for delivery). Hopefully, that will give you enough time to shop and get the package on its way. I am hoping that everybody receives their package before Christmas. (A 2 lbs priority mail package within the US goes for $8.80 this year).
+ The swap is open to US residents and participants in Germany and Canada (if I can get at least two people per country to sign up, so I can match people within each country to keep postage reasonable).
+ Share your Secret Santa gift(s) with us on your blog or Instagram with the hashtag: #SecretSantaMugSwap2021
If you’re interested in participating this year, please sign up through this link:
SECRET SANTA (MUG) SWAP 2020 SIGN-UP FORM
Please remember: if you sign up, you’re expected to purchase a mug and/or other gifts and send them to your Secret Santa partner by November, 26th. If you can’t commit to this deadline, please be fair to the other participants and maybe consider signing up another time.
I hope you join in. And please let me know if you have any questions!
