23: Things I am {thankful} for Thursdays

I’ve been sharing things I am thankful for on Thanksgiving Day for the last few NaBloPoMo-years and this year will be no different. It’s always a good time of year to reflect on the year and remember the things we are thankful for. If you’re not into these kinds of posts, you may skip today. I on the other hand enjoy reading what other people are thankful for this holiday season, so if you posted your own Thankful-post, let me know.

I am thankful for J, who will always be the guy who makes me laugh and love the strongest. Marriage is not for the faint-hearted, but at the end of the day, he’s the one I wanna come home to.

I am thankful for being healthy, for being able to keep up with running and races, and the unexpected joy it gives me.

I am thankful for our home and neighborhood. I love living in our small house and love being at home. It’s so nice to come home to a space where you feel comfortable and safe.

I am thankful for my job. Even if I have days where I am frustrated or bored, I generally like the work I do, my co-workers, work environment, and flexible work schedule and I am so very grateful for that.

I am thankful for friends that I know are not going anywhere, even if we haven’t been in touch as much as I would have liked to. It feels good to know that these friendships are rock-solid, no matter what happens.

I am thankful for the precious time I was able to spend with my cousin and his girlfriend exploring some National Park in September. What an unforgettable road trip.

I am thankful for my family and I wish I could spend the day with them. I know that many people don’t have the close relationship with their parents/families that I have and I am very mindful of that and don’t take it for granted. I just miss them extra-hard today.

I am thankful for captivating books, knitting, good movies, yummy food, and coffee + tea.

I am thankful for YOU. Thank you for reading here and leaving comments and words of kindness and encouragement.

Happy Thanksgiving, friends. I hope you’re all having a lovely holiday weekend.

  1. Happy Thanksgiving! I’m definitely thankful for my friends and family and knowing they will be there for me, always.

    1. That’s really the only thing that really matters ;)

  3. Happy thanksgiving. I am thankful for YOU for stopping by and reading my blog and even commenting. Also I could sign up on most of all your things you are thankful of.
    Happy weekend, Tobia

  4. I love reading Thankful posts! It’s amazing how much we have to be thankful for when we stop and think about it! I can see how holidays are bittersweet for you when you live so very far from your family. :( I know my sister struggles with that, even though she is much closer to us than you are to your family (she is in Arizona). I hope you had a great Turkey day!

    1. I love reading Thankful posts, too. It’s so nice to focus on the positive for once!

  5. Really enjoyed reading this. :)
