2026 | Weekly Run Down 12/52 –  Recovery Week

I usually take it easy the week after a race before I ease myself back into a more structured weekly workout routine. This week was for yoga, walks, and some light strength training. I also did a little bit of cycling and a short run towards the end of the week.

Monday

  • 15 Min Morning Yoga Flow – Nico (7/30/24) — Shenani-gains
  • 20 Min 90s Walk – JJ (12/6/25)

My legs and glutes definitely felt sore from the half marathon on Sunday, so I just did a yoga flow in the morning and went for a little 20-minute walk around lunchtime to get some light movement in.

Tuesday

  • 10 Min WHM: Intention Meditation – Kristin (3/8/21) — Woman & Wellness Self Care
  • 10 Min St. Patrick‘s Day Arms & Light Weights – Bradley (3/16/25) — Shenani-gains
  • 10 Min Yoga Flow – Denis (4/15/25)
  • 20 Min Power Walk: Menopause – Susie (3/1/26)

I started my morning with meditation and then continued with a light arm training and a yoga flow. I also used my lunch break for a quick walk with Susie.

Wednesday

  • 10 Min Meditation: Menopause – Chelsea (3/1/26)
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: For Runners – Mariana (9/16/25) — The Streak
  • 10 Min Bodyweight Strength – Jess S (5/9/23) — Shenani-gains
  • 30 Min Intention Settings Walk – Kirsten (8/19/25) — Woman & Wellness Self Care

I am still keeping it low-key and did some meditation, yoga, and a bodyweight strength class this morning. I also went for a 30-minute walk on my lunch break.

Thursday

  • 10 Min Empathy Meditation – Anna (6/27/23)
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Twists – Anna (11/7/23) — The Streak
  • 20 Min St. Patrick’s Day Ride – CDE (3/17/26) — Shenani-gains
  • 5 Min Full Body Stretch – Joslyn (3/8/26) — Woman & Wellness Self Care

I started my day with meditation and a yoga flow. My Garmin said that I am finally “fully recovered”, so I decided to also hop on the bike this morning for a quick 20-minute ride to get the legs moving again.

Friday

  • 10 Min Acceptance Meditation – Ross (5/25/24)
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Hips – Chelsea (2/3/25) — The Streak
  • 20 Min Full Body Strength – Andy (3/19/26) — Shenani-gains

I opted for meditation, a yoga flow for hips, and a 20-minute strength class this morning.

Saturday

  • 10 Min Warm Up Walk – Jon (8/14/24)
  • 20 Min St. Patrick’s Day Run – Joslyn (3/17/24) — Shenani-gains
  • 10 Min 8% Hike – Jon (10/19/25)
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Wrists – Chelsea (3/15/26) — Woman & Wellness Self Care

I ran errands most of the day, but made it over to the gym and on the treadmill in the afternoon for a quick (belated) 20-minute St. Patrick’s Day run. I decided to add a 8% incline hike afterwards. I do have to do this more often.

Sunday

  • 5 Min Morning Meditation – Anna (8/9/23)
  • 5 Min Warm Up Ride – Matt (3/16/26)
  • 30 Min Rock Ride – Matt (6/13/25) — Shenani-gains
  • 5 Min Cool Down Ride – Matt (1/18/26)
  • 15 Min Core Strength – Tunde (2/12/26)
  • 20 Min Restorative Yoga – Kirra (3/16/26) — The Streak/Serenity Sunday
  • 10 Min Relaxing Meditation – Ross (7/21/22) — Serenity Sunday

I met up with Tanja – virtually again – for a 30-minute Rock Ride this morning. She also invited me to do a 15-minute core class, and of course, I said yes. It was a great class that flew, not least because Tunde kept it entertaining by cycling through the different core exercises every 30 seconds. I also hit 7k Peloton minutes during that class. Hooray!

  1. Ha, your “easy” week is more than most people do on a “hard” week! ;) Kidding! All that yoga and meditation sounds wonderful! I bet that felt so good to recover.

  2. I have to echo what Kae says. Your recovery week is my regular week! Go you!

  3. I love your workout outfit! The gemstones are so fun! How interesting that your Garmin can tell when you’re recovered. All this technology is amazing. It was fun to see you on the LB during Anna’s focus flow: twists class. That was a good one. I hope you have a wonderful trip!

  4. Oh, you did a half, San!!! Where is the recap? I’m looking forward to reading it!
Love how you’re easing back in after the half, San! Your week sounds like the perfect mix of yoga, walks, strength, and just enough running to feel alive without overdoing it.
