2025 Weekly Run Down 8/52 – Away from my bike again

This week’s stats:

Running: 4.8 mi
Cycling: 8.3 mi
Strength: 20 min
Yoga/Pilates/Barre: 135 min
Warm up/Stretching: 30 min
Meditation: 120 min

I am linking up again for the Weekly Run Down with Kim and Deborah.

This was another unusual week for me (what else is new?). We had to drive down to Southern California again last Saturday because Jon’s Mom is still doing poorly and so I was away from my Peloton bike (and a normal schedule) again for a week.

Monday

  • 10 Min Daily Meditation – Kirra (2/16/25)
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Core – Mariana (10/15/24) — Who adores your core?/Saved by Love
  • 10 Min Restorative Yoga – Kristin (5/25/21) — Personal Streak

Since I was away from my bike, I focused on yoga and meditation again this week.

Tuesday

  • 10 Min Morning Meditation – Aditi (1/28/25)
  • 30 Min Yoga + Pilates – Anna (1/6/25) — Who adores your core?/Personal Streak
  • 10 Min Sleep Meditation – Chelsea (2/8/25)

I did Anna’s Yoga + Pilates class. I was curious how she would combine the two. It was basically a class with alternating yoga and Pilates blocks and it was very fast. I felt like a power yoga class.

Wednesday

  • 10 Min Morning Meditation – Chelsea (2/18/25)
  • 5 Min Full Body Stretch – Ben (2/27/23) — Hearts & Harmony
  • 15 Min Focus Flow: Core – Ross (4/17/24) — Who adores your core?/ Personal Streak
  • 10 Min Barre: Glutes & Legs – Hannah C (1/2/25) — Saved by Love
  • 5 Min Rolling Stones Post-Ride Stretch – Leanne (5/23/24) — Hearts & Harmony
  • 10 Min Sleep Meditation – Chelsea (3/15/24)

I was able to meet up with Tanja for a short workout stack this morning. It was nice to know she was on the “other side of the screen”. We both really liked Ross’ Yoga Core Flow. Youd should check it out!

Thursday

  • 10 Min Valentine’s Day Meditation – Kristin (2/14/23) — Hearts & Harmony
  • 15 Min Strength Roll Call: Core – Andy (9/28/22) — Saved by Love/Who adores your core?

  • 10 Min Sleep Meditation – Anna (2/19/20)

Tanja and I met up again for some core work and yoga.

  • 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Hanna F (2/5/25)

  • 20 Min Restorative Yoga – Nico (4/2/24) — Personal Streak

We drove back from Southern California today. I opted for meditation, restorative yoga, and a nap.

Sunday

  • 10 Min Daily Meditation – Chelsea (2/2/25)
  • 5 Min Get to Know Me Warm Up Ride – Sam (2/9/25)

  • 10 Min Peace Meditation – Aditi (3/27/24) — Serenity Sunday

I slept in this morning and postponed my workout until the afternoon. I was excited to get on the bike again and chose a little “Sam Yo”-Stack for the Saved with Love tracker. I also participated in Serenity Sunday with some yoga and meditation.

Current Challenges + Trackers:

I didn’t run or cycle much this week, but I prioritized staying on top of the trackers otherwise. I think I’ll be able to finish them all this coming week. That’s something! :)

  1. It is good for our bodies to have down weeks from intense cardio. I bet you feel refreshed. Have a great week ahead

  2. I’ll bet it was a rough week, emotionally. I hope your MIL is okay. All those meditations must have been helpful! And, I can imagine that Pilates/yoga class- sounds like it would be intense and effective.

  3. I know it has been a tough start to the year but I’m so proud of you for moving your body and prioritizing fitting things in when you’re able <3

  4. You had a rough week! It’s tough to be thrown off your rhythms and to be away from home. Good for you for prioritizing rest. You have a lot on your plate right now!

It was bitterly cold and I was nursing a sick kid back to health so I did not have a great week of workouts. I did get an uphill walking workout it in at my hotel on Wednesday which felt good!

  5. Sorry that your MIL isn’t doing well. That’s so difficult. I’m glad you were able to be there. I pushed my run off until afternoon yesterday – I don’t generally like to do that, but it worked for me. I’m glad you were able to sleep late.

  6. Hugs to you, friend. It’s so impressive that you keep going even when things are down.

  7. Even though you didn’t run or cycle, you still had a lot of activity. And trips like that can be so taxing. I would have opted for some yoga and naps, too.

  8. I admire you for all the meditations you fit into your week! I’m trying to make a better effort to devote a few before-bed meditations myself each week. They really are a great way to clear your head, breathe deeply and simply relax. I hope your MIL is doing better.

  9. I hope your MIL is doing OK. That’s tough on everyone – but glad you could be there for her. Sounds like the meditations and rest were needed. Sending positive vibes to your family!

  10. So many hugs, my friend. Your 2025 has been filled with a bunch of challenges – personal, family, professional, etc. I can only hope that this season shifts into one that is more positive for all of you, in all areas of your life. <3
