Hello. I am back. You didn’t really notice that I was gone, or did you?
Either way, let me assure you, I was completely absent from this blog for the last 3 weeks and enjoyed every minute of uninterrupted time with family and friends back home. I promise, a recap of my trip will come soon.
A week ago, I got back from the most epic birthday trip ever…. only to get sick two days later and be completely out of commission for three days. I started feeling a little better yesterday and now I am hoping to jump head first into April and spring. My (want-)to-do list was already a mile long, before my body slowed me down involuntarily, so I need to catch up.
My April won’t be nearly as exciting as my March, but I have a few fun things planned (including a weekend in SoCal to meet up with a dear friend!), some shopping for our home and starting a new training plan on Runtastic (more on that later).
The first few days after returning from a trip overseas are hard, as always, but I know I will feel better once I get back into my usual groove. Besides, today is MLB opening day! Who’s excited?

April 4, 2016 at 7:20 amIsn’t that how it always happens? Come back from vacation and then get sick? Grrrrr. Super annoying! I hope you feel better soon!!
Can’t wait to hear about your trip!

April 4, 2016 at 2:32 pmWelcome back!!! Hope you feel 100% super soon. And, yay, baseball!!! I pretended to get into basketball for the first time ever because Syracuse made it to the final four (and though at the point they lost, they weren’t slaughtered, phew) so I was into it for a couple weeks… but BASEBALL! Now THAT is my jam. Woot!

April 5, 2016 at 9:38 amSorry to hear that you got sick when you got home! I am glad that you weren’t sick when you were in Germany but it’s tough enough to come back from an epic trip, but even tougher when you get leveled by an illness!
I bought tulips last week, too! It has not been very springy here (it was in the 30s F on Saturday!) so I needed something springy to focus on!

April 5, 2016 at 11:32 amI’m glad you’re feeling better, and I’m also glad your illness hit AFTER you got back and you didn’t spend a week of your time in Germany under the weather!

April 12, 2016 at 5:41 amYay! I’m that dear friend!!! I can’t wait to see you soon my love!
I’m glad you’re feeling better and you had a wonderful trip home. The mountains and everything looked so beautiful.
Ps. Get the kitchen aide mixer! Bday present to yourself? I have one and it is amazing and love mine and it helps with bread making.
