Current Book(s): “All the summer girls” by Meg Donohue. I just recently read her other book “How to eat a cupcake” and liked it, so I decided to get the nook deal and buy her new book for $2.99.
Current Playlist: NKOTB’s “Ten“.
Current Shame-Inducing Guilty Pleasure: Chocolate Chip Ice Cream – about three times per week. Sigh. I can’t help it. It’s delicious, summer is here and I just love ice cream.
Current Color: Purple. Still very much into it.
Current Drink: Apfelschorle (apple juice + sparkling water). It’s so freaking hot right now that I don’t want anything else.
Current Food: Plain yogurt with fresh peach.
Current Favorite Show: “The Newsroom”. What else did you expect? I am so stoked that season 2 just started!
Current Wishlist: A backyward where we can barbecue. We’re not currently planning to move, but I already started a list of “wants and would likes” for a new place.d
Current Needs: A good hair day. I don’t know what to do with this frizzy mess anymore.
Current Bane(s) of my Existence: Things that I don’t have control over.
Current Celebrity (Girl) Crush: Julie Delpy. I just recently saw “Before Midnight”, the third part in the trilogy that she did with Ethan Hawke and I think she’s just so unconventionally pretty and believable.
Current Outfit: jeans, t-shirt, Birkenstocks.
Current Excitement: A very exciting idea for J’s birthday in October. He’s hard to shop for, so I am always thrilled when I have a good idea for a birthday surprise! :)
Current Link: I encourage you to check out this family photography work by Ulric Collette, a French-Canadian photographer.

August 1, 2013 at 8:24 amWe finally caught up with the first two episodes of Newsroom (though I think we have one more episode on our DVR – forever behind!). I’m hopeful they can keep up the momentum that was created during season 1!
Also, a little hint to check out my blog tomorrow … I came across some great ideas for hot weather hair that I’ll be sharing. (Perfect timing, no?!)

August 1, 2013 at 9:56 amI can’t eat ice cream, but I’ve been eating loads of coconut milk frozen dairy dessert from Trader Joe’s. It’s pretty much the same thing and I am so grateful. I love that creamy cold taste in the summer!!!

August 1, 2013 at 10:40 amLet’s just pause on the fact that the picture for this post made me homesick. Sigh. I would never think to pair sparkling water & apple juice but that’s brilliant! I’m currently trying not to drown in humidity and have fallen into a Law & Order Netflix black hole :)
