2026 | Weekly Run Down 37/52 – Race week

According to my training plan, this week was a “pull back” week and I only had easy runs on my schedule, but I made an exception for the Labor Day Run 10K that I was signed up for. I didn’t go out with any goals, but I was willing to push myself a little bit. I mean, a race is a race!

Monday

  • Team Wilpers Intermediate Marathon Training W6R1 | 6 mi
    • Davis Labor Day 10K
  • 30 Min Advanced Beginner Pilates – Ash (8/21/26) — AB Pilates
  • 10 Min Evening Stretch – Matty (10/23/25) — Total Request Self Love
  • 10 Min Restorative – Denis (3/27/26) — The Streak

I swapped my easy run for the Davis Labor Day 10K this morning (recap to come!). It’s the first time I ran that race, and it was a beautiful morning here in Northern California. Best running weather! In the afternoon, I finished out the first week of the Advanced Beginner Pilates program and later added an evening stretch and restorative yoga class before bedtime.

Tuesday

  • 15 Min Low Impact Ride – Jenn (6/15/26) — Streakers Request
  • 15 Min Advanced Beginner Pilates – Ash (8/21/26) — AB Pilates
  • 20 Min Full Body Strength: W4D3 – Andy (10/2/23) — PUTV9
  • 10 Min Focus Flow: Core – Denis (6/5/26) — The Streak

I hopped on the bike for a 15-minute low-impact ride this morning and then met up with #BCBabe Lindsay for Pilates. It was a nice sequence. I completed PUTV9 with the last class of week 4 with  Andy today and finished with a focus flow for core.

Wednesday

  • 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Matt (5/14/25)
  • Team Wilpers Intermediate Marathon Training W6R2 |  6 mi Easy Run
    • 30 Min Pop Run – Jon (8/16/26)
    • 30 Min Bee Gees Walk + Run – Jon (8/21/25) — Streakers Request
  • 5 Min Post-Run Stretch – Jon (5/26/26)
  • 15 Min Walk – Rebecca (9/8/26)
  • 10 Min Restorative Yoga – Mariana (8/1/26) — The Streak

I had a 6-mile easy run on schedule today and had to get started early, so I opted for the treadmill today because it was definitely still too dark outside at 6 am for me to run outside. In evening, I took a post-meal walk and finished with a restorative yoga class before bed.

Thursday

  • 20 Min Advanced Beginner Pilates – Ash (8/21/26) — AB Pilates
  • Team Wilpers Intermediate Marathon Training W6R3 | 3 mi Easy Run
    • 15 Min AFO Run: John Mayor – Adrian (8/19/22) — Streakers Request
    • 15 Min 90s Run – Joslyn (7/19/26)
  • 5 Min Post-Run Stretch – Joslyn (9/9/26)
  • 10 Min Peak Performance Walking Meditation – Mariana (10/10/23) — Total Request Self Love
  • 10 Min Restorative Yoga – Anna (9/23/25) — The Streak

I started my morning with 20 minutes of Pilates and then headed out the door for a 3-mile easy run (and forgot to stop my watch. Haha). Luckily, the run was short enough that I could get it done outdoors because it was light enough at 6:30 am, and I even caught the end of the sunrise. For longer runs, when I have to start earlier – like on Wednesday – it’ll have to be the treadmill going forward into fall.

Friday

  • 10 Min Focus Flow: For Runners – Denis (12/26/25) — The Streak
  • Team Wilpers Intermediate Marathon Training W6R5 | 3 mi Easy Run
    • 30 Min Backstreet Boys Walk + Run – Jess K (12/12/24) — Streakers Request
  • 10 Min Cool Down Run – Susie (11/17/25)
  • 15 Min 90s Walk – JJ (8/4/26)

In the morning, I warmed up with a focus flow for runners and then did a quck 3-mile easy run before running errands. In the evening , I went for a post-meal walk after dinner.

Saturday

  • 20 Min Advanced Beginner Pilates – Ash (8/21/26) — AB Pilates
  • Team Wilpers Intermediate Marathon Training W6R5 | 8 mi Long Run
    • 60 Min Outdoor Run Club: Endurance – Matt (9/6/26)
    • 20 Min Boyband Mixtape Run – Susie (8/11/26)
  • 15 Min Cool Down Walk
  • 5 Min Post-Run Stretch – Rebecca (9/2/26)
  • 500m Pool Swim
  • 10 Min Savasana – Nico (10/29/24) — The Streak

I warmed up with 20 minutes of Pilates and then headed out for this week’s long run. Because of the pull back week, it was “only” 8 miles. I picked a great class with Matt Wilpers and I loved his little nugget of coaching advice: “If you want to handle the future, you have to manage today”. So true.

In the afternoon, I went over to the pool to read in the shade. I also swam some laps (very leisurely!) and later ended the day with a Savasana class.

Sunday

  • 30 Min Peloton IRL @ F1 Las Vegas Ride – Alex T (11/24/25) — Streakers Request
  • 15 Min Hip Mobility – Kirra (2/7/23) — Total Request (Self) Love
  • 20 Min Yin Yoga – Denis (5/8/23) — The Streak/Serenity Sunday
  • 10 Min Breathwork Meditation – Kristin (6/8/21) — Serenity Sunday

Today was officially a rest day and I slept in until 10 am. It was glorious. I was in the mood for a little movement in the afternoon and checked off a ride for the Streakers Request tracker, took a class for hip mobility (you can never go wrong with that!) and then joined the Streakers365 for Serenity Sunday.

  1. I love that your “pull back” week still included a 10K because, well, a race is a race!
And I’m glad you went into it without a goal and just gave yourself permission to push a little. I’m looking forward to the recap!

  2. Yay for a race! And yay for giving it your all!

I can’t tell you the last time i slept til 10. I stayed in bed til 7:30 the other day and was soooo out of sorts!

  3. I hope your 10K race went well. I’ve been making an effort (well, a better effort at least) to incorporate more hip mobility work into my week. It’s tough to make the time (which is such a wimpy excuse), but I have been feeling better. Thanks for the inspiration!

  4. I am all for sleeping in when your body needs it! Sleep is an under rated super power. Congrats on your 10K :) Did you like the Pilates program? I’ve come to really enjoying having it in my routine. Greta is my new fave
