Warm up/Stretching: 65 min

I am linking up again for the Weekly Run Down with Kim and Deborah.

It was a good week. I didn’t push myself too hard over the holidays, but I did complete my three runs for week 5 of the Team Wilpers Holiday Run Challenge and got a little bit of everything else (strength, yoga, meditation) done as well.
I also signed up for a race this weekend. I wanted to get something on the calendar, because I only attended two “fun runs”, but did not race in 2025. And sometimes I tend to waver and not make any decisions, and/or not sign up on time. Having the registration in hand will also kick my butt in gear to start a serious training plan again. I’ve been keeping my running afloat with the Team Wilpers Challenges (and don’t get me wrong, they’re GREAT!), but I really need to set a goal again.
Monday
- 10 Min Peace Meditation – Anna (3/30/21)
- 10 Min Focus Flow: Core – Denis (1/17/21) — Personal Streak/Festive Fitness
- 20 Min Holiday Glutes & Legs Strength – Katie (12/18/25)
- 10 Min Hip Mobility – Rebecca (11/12/15) — Focus Tracker
- 20 Min 90s Walk – Kirsten (12/22/25)
I started my morning with a core yoga flow, some glutes and legs strength training, and hip mobility. I took a little break from work around 9 am to go on a little walk around campus and join Lindsay for her birthday walk. It was drizzling a bit, but I didn’t mind because I was wearing a hoodie, and it’s what you do for friends.
Tuesday
- 10 Min Empathy Meditation – Anna (6/272/23)
- 5 Min Warm Up Ride – Leanne (1/27/25)
- 30 Min Power Zone Endurance Ride – CDE (6/14/23)
- 5 Min Cool Down Ride – Ben (12/22/25)
- 10 Min Focus Flow: Hips – Chelsea (12/21/25) — Personal Streak
- 30 Min A Christmas Carol Walk – (12/11/25)
- 30 Min Holiday Walk – Jon (12/16/22)
I picked a power zone endurance ride in the morning in prep for the new Power Zone Challenge that will begin on January 5.

In the afternoon, I went for my annual “Christmas Lights” walk around one of our local neighborhoods, and I used two Peloton holiday walks to keep me entertained with holiday music.
Wednesday
- 10 Min Gratitude Meditation – Kristin (11/7/23)
- 5 Min Pre-Run Warm Up – Matt (5/14/25)
- Team Wilpers Holiday Run Challenge W5R1 | V02 Max Ladder Down
- 30 Min Christmas Run – Becs (12/22/24) — 12 days of 5ks
- 20 Min Holiday Walk – JJ (12/7/23)
- 15 Min Restorative – Kirra (19/24) — Personal Streak
I went for a run in the morning because, contrary to what the weather forecast said, there was no rain in the morning, and one has to take advantage (especially with nonstop rain in the forecast). I got my V02 Max intervals in, plus a 20-minute holiday (cool down) walk to ring in Christmas.

Thursday
- 10 Min Calming Meditation – Anna (1/6/21)
- 10 Min Focus Flow: Healthy Back – Anna (7/18/22) — Personal Streak
- 20 Min Stretch – Adrian (10/9/25) — Focus Tracker
I had purposefully NOT scheduled a workout for today and only did a short yoga flow and a bit of stretching in the afternoon (after having lounged around on the couch all day). That felt good.
Friday
- 10 Min Meditation – Anna (12/29/20)
- 45 Min Bootcamp – Jess S (12/23/25)
- 10 Min Core Strength – Andy (12/17/25) — Festive Fitness
- 5 Min Warm Up Walk – Rebecca (12/8/25)
- Team Wilpers Holiday Run Challenge W5R2 | Steady State Run
- 30 Min 90s Pop Run – Jon (12/22/25) — 12 days of 5ks
- 5 Min Cool Down Walk – Andy (12/22/25)
- 5 Min Post-Run Stretch – Jon (12/10/25)
- 10 Min Restorative – Denis (11/5/24) — Personal Streak
I met up with Lindsay and Sherry in the morning for a bike bootcamp, added a quick core strength class (to finish up the Festive Fitness tracker), and then headed out to run my usual Friday morning errands.
In the afternoon, I decided to get on the treadmill for the second Team Wilpers run of the week. Not sure what the average lap pace is doing there for the “strides”(pace should be much higher), but I am assuming the Garmnin doesn’t know how to compute these super-short intervals on a treadmill, even when using “indoor running”.

Saturday
- 10 Min Patience Meditation – Anna (1/26/21)
- 20 Min Evening Yoga Flow – Kirra (12/15/25) — Personal Streak
Today was an unplanned rest day. I had a scheduled video call in the morning and then tackled a bunch of things that I had wanted to do but hadn’t gotten around to – e.g., catching up on blog writing and reading. The day got away from me, and I decided to do a quick yoga flow before dinner, but at least I got caught up on a lot of other things!
Sunday
- 5 Min Warm Up Ride – Erik (9/17/25)
- 30 Min Low Impact Ride – Denis (10/7/25)
- Team Wilpers Holiday Run Challenge W5R3 | Long Run HM Pace
- 30 Min Classic Rock Run – Jon (7/26/25)
- 30 Min Classic Rock Run – Jon (6/17/25)
- 20 Min Restorative – Denis (8/15/21) — Personal Streak/Serenity Sunday
- 10 Min Relaxing Meditation – Ross (9/15/22) — Serenity Sunday
I (virtually) met up with my sister on the bike this morning (we hadn’t been able to ride together lately) and it was fun work out with her. I used the Low Impact Ride as a warm up and set out for my weekend run afterwards. I had a long run with halfmamrathon pace intervals on deck (and did pretty well. I am learning to dial in the paces better). It was cold and foggy out this morning and my hair was completely wet when I returned home, and not from sweat.
I also participated in Serenity Sunday organized by the Streakers365.

Current Challenges + Trackers:
Will you look at that! I completed all my trackers the week, except for the The Streak tracker, which obvisiouly goes until the 31st. The admins came up with some great trackers again for this month and helped me get a variety of classes done.

December 29, 2025 at 2:09 amWhat a great week of movement, San! I love all the things you were able to fit in, especially a holiday walk to look at lights. You can’t get more festive than that (and of course you’d combine it with Peloton—double gold stars).

December 29, 2025 at 6:13 amNice work on all those trackers! I can relate to signing up for races. I can usually stay in task with the mileage, but I’m a terrible procrastinator on actually getting formally registered & committing

December 29, 2025 at 5:25 pmI love the idea of using Peloton for music during outdoor walks. I’m going to have to try that. I’ll bet it was fun to have Christmas music while looking at the lights. I was so happy to have Peloton on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day because it helped offset the blood glucose spike from more carb-heavy meals. (Dealing with Diabetes here.)
