Welcome friends, fellow NaBloPoMo-enthusiasts, and challenge seekers! It’s day 1 of NaBloPoMo and I am excited to get this year’s challenge started. I’ve been a little inconsistent with my blogging as of late, but nothing a little blogging challenge can’t fix, amirite? This will be my 21st year of participating in NaBloPoMo!
I know people are love-hating or hate-loving NaBloPoMo but for some reason many of you come back every year. Ha! It can be a lot of pressure to blog every day (although some of you seem to fit it effortlessly into your daily routines!), and I hope you don’t feel any anxiety over it because it should be fun – first and foremost. Don’t forget that not every blog post has to be a deep, long, elaborate piece of writing. Sometimes sharing a picture, a quote, or some random thoughts of your day is all it takes to connect with your readers!
As I have previously mentioned, a little planning also goes a long way. While I will be posting every day in November, not every word will be written on the day that it will be published. And that is okay. If you feel like writing in spurts, take advantage and get the words on digital paper when you can. And if it gets to the end of the day and you have nothing, share a picture or quote or make it like a “one line per day” journal entry. There’s so many ways to blog and engage!

As of this morning, we have 24 people signed up. We’ve had more participants in previous years, but I’ve also hosted NaBloPoMo for a lot fewer people as well. I am grateful for anyone who’s here – to write and to cheer!
