Recipe: String Bean Soup

Today I am going to share a very simple, but healthy and oh-so-delicious recipe from my Mom for String Bean Soup.

Untitled

1,5 liters water

1 Tsp. Tomato paste

4 potatoes (cut in cubes)

1 lb. cut green beans (can be frozen)

Maggi Seasoning Sauce

salt and pepper to taste

*Optional: Deutschländer Sausages

Bring the water, potato cubes, tomato paste, salt, pepper and Maggi Seasoning Sauce to a boil. Add the (frozen) cut green beans. Cook for about 20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.

Add more salt and/or Maggi Seasoning Sauce if needed.

Soooo good and one of my favorite soups!

  1. That looks good! Our family has a recipe that is really similar – using ground turkey and canned tomatoes, instead of sausage and tom paste. That’s the beauty of this soup – you can put just about any combo in it and it still tastes GREAT! Thanks for posting and reminding me to make it!
