Today I am going to share a family recipe from my Grandma with you.
“Martinsküchle” ((yeast-dough cookies)) are traditionally eaten on St. Martin’s Day and were given as a present from the lord to the servants [or the adults to the kids].
Ingredients:
500 g wheat flour
30 g yeast
50 g sugar
1 egg
1/2 l milk
salt
Mix ingredients in a bowl, cover bowl with a kitchen towel and let the dough rise until doubled in bulk.
Add raisins if desired.
Then bake spoonsize dough cookies in hot oil.
Serve with sugar.
That was yummy :)
