30: ‘Tis the end of NaBloPoMo 2025

How is it the end of November already? How is it the end of NaBloPoMo again? I am always a little surprised when we finally make it to the last day of the month, but friends, we made it. YOU made it.

We had a record-breaking number of participants this year (38 people signed up!), and I am once again in awe that new people have found our community and decided to join for this blogging challenge this month. You guys never disappoint! I was blown away by your consistency and great blog topics this month.

I also certainly understand that the more people participate, the more overwhelming it becomes to write daily AND keep up with everyone. I hope you all gave yourself some grace and didn’t feel like you had to read and comment on everyone’s blog and on every single post. We should all realize that this was not humanly possible (but I will definitely have some blogs to catch up on in December). It’s all good. The most important part is that you flexed your writing muscle and connected with others in the process. I sincerely hope that this happened for all of you.

A big shoutout to our support squad, everyone who didn’t officially participate but who supported us with thoughtful comments and encouragement! You’re a big and essential part of our blog community and hopefully, you had some fun having your RSS reader or inbox full of extra posts this month!

As a small token of my appreciation for showing up and crushing this year’s NaBloPoMo, I am hosting a little giveaway again this year.

A little giveaway

Just tell me in the comments: what was your favorite thing about NaBloPoMo this year?

I’ll be sending a gift card (Starbucks or Amazon, your choice) to one of this year’s participants. You have time to comment until December 7th, and I will use a random number generator to select the winner.

  1. San, thank you so much for hosting NaBloPoMo! This was my first time trying it, and it was so interesting to write and post every day. I’ve always posted 3 or 4 times a month, which makes each post carry a lot of weight, and sometimes it’s mentally hard to hit the publish button. But posting every day made them feel less important. Write, hit publish, and move on to the next one. I rather liked that feeling!

    1. I am so happy you joined this year, Michelle!

  2. Thanks so much for hosting NaBloPoMo 2025! I’ve been banging away each year all by myself, so it was such a joy to find you all, and how you support each other. I was so surprised & pleased to find actual comments on my blog (which I don’t think i’ve had since 2008). So much appreciation to everyone who took the time to not only write, but also read. San you have created such a lovely group here and I’ve been honored to be a part of it this year!

    1. Thanks so much for joining this year, Stacey. I am so glad you found our group!

  3. Thanks, San, for hosting again this year, and well done on posting every day and cheering everyone on.

    1. Thanks Melissa, I am so glad you were part of it again this year.

  4. You rock San. Thank you for everything!

    1. Thank you Martha. I am so glad you were part of it this year!

  5. I love discovering new blogs every NaBloPoMo! You’re a real rock star for keeping this going through the years! I didn’t blog daily this year, but I made it a goal to comment on at least five blogs every day and I did it!

    1. Thanks so much for being such an awesome cheerleader, Engie! <3

  6. Thank you San, as always. No gift card for me, thank you, but I really enjoyed posting every day and trying to comment, but yeah…life got hard some days.

    1. So happy you participated again, Julie!

  7. Thank you so much for hosting! It was such a treat to find so many new blogs this year.

    1. So happy you joined us this year, Sam! It’s been great getting to know you.

  8. Thanks San for your energy and your commitment to keeping NaBloPoMo going. My favorite part was discovering new blogs that I had never read before – I enjoyed them so much. I also enjoyed reading comments on my blog and others.

    1. Thanks for being part of it again this year, Ernie!

  9. Thank you for hosting San! I have really enjoyed reading your posts this year and hearing more from you! I don’t need a gift card, I just wanted to say thanks!

  10. Thank you for hosting. It was the kick in the pants I needed to get back on track. Admittedly, it’s hard to add reading/commenting on top of the daily blogging, but I did find new-to-me blogs that I really liked. Also, thanks for doing this during a hard time of furloughs and job travails!

    1. Hooray! I am so glad you joined again this year, Tierney!

  11. Thank you San. For making this community happen with your powering through with NaBloPoMo every year and gather so many people. I am beyond blown away with the many new members this years.

My favorite thing this year: That I forced myself to make time for creativity in a period of time where I just wanted to crawl into bed or morph into the couch. And the second best thing is finding so many new blogs to read and people to get to know.

    1. You did amazing, my friend, as always such a pleasure to have you along for the ride!

  12. I’m so proud of you, San – you had such a rough year and here you are, rallying the troops and getting the community going! Great job, my friend. xo

    1. Thanks for your support always, Nicole!

  13. Great work, my friend.
I did not participate this year AND I was basically a horrible commenter (I only focussed on blogs I already read that were participating). Just not enough hours in the day.
But what a delightful time for our blogging community and I cannot thank you enough to being a networker extraordinaire!

    1. Thanks so much, Elisabeth for reading and always supporting everyone!

  14. Thank-you for corralling us all in one place – it gets really confusing otherwise. My favourite thing was that I hardly ever felt like I had to think hard for a post, and only had one or two days when I really phoned it in. November is a tough month, but I think this helps my mood from sinking too low.

    1. Thanks for being a part of it again this year, Allison!

  15. Thank you for hosting. I’d not heard of NaBloPoMo before reading about it on a blog I follow. I did comment when I could. Some WordPress blogs require a sign-in, and since I have a deleted account associated with my email, I can’t sign-in. So, I visited many more blogs than those where I commented!

    1. So happy you joined us this year, Lisa.

  16. San, I think I found a BUNCH of my current favorite bloggers through your NaBloPoMo efforts a few years ago, so I owe you A LOT. I think my favorite thing about NaBloPoMo has been getting regular and consistent posts from bloggers I love. The worst part about being a member of such a great blogging community is WAITING FOR THE NEXT POST, and with NaBloPoMo, there is a surplus! I am looking forward to catching up on a lot of posts over the coming days.

Thank you so much for leading the way yet again, and making it so easy and fun to connect with current and new members of this fabulous community!

    1. Thanks Suzanne, this means a lot. I know we have such an awesome group here, don’t we?

  17. Thank you again for keeping NaBloPoMo going! I only made it most of the way though the month this year before other commitments took me off track but maybe the nagging feeling on unfinished threads I started will bug me to keep going a little longer :)
It was, as always, great to see everyone’s thoughts and get to meet a few new people and to have fun writing a bit more in my own sadly neglected blog too again. It made me stop to reflect a bit on what’s going on in my life and chaotic thoughts to write a few of them down along the way.

    1. Thanks for joining again, Steve. I loved that you showed up in my feed again.

  18. Thanks for hosting again San this year. I had fun posting daily. I enjoyed learning about daily happenings/thoughts of my fellow blogger friends.

    1. Thanks Coco, so glad you joined again this year.

  19. Hooray! I’m so glad I participated this year – it was a great time and I loved that there were so many new participants. It was great seeing some new faces!

  20. San, you are a force. What a lovely month this was, reading old favorites and new-to-me blogs and failing miserably at the comment-and-support side of things. Thank you – again, always – for building and sustaining this community. <3
