This week’s SPF assignment by lovely Kristine was really easy, but still fun! I like to look at other people’s living environment and the like :) It adds to the image that you create of the people in your blogging world!
So here it goes…
1. The kitchen sink
This would be my Mom’s kitchen sink again… I think I have to post a whole bunch of pictures of our place in CA when I get there. Kristine asked for so many pictures around the house and I could only show you around my parents’ house so far. I do love our sink though. The faucet has a long tube, so that you can pull it out to fill the coffeemaker for example and the little white lid on the right is a direct connection to the garbage can underneath the sink [ so you don’t have to open the cabinet door to through something away. Convenient, huh?]
And did you notice? German sinks have a draining-area attached to the sink. Why don’t American sinks have that?
2. Something you need to fix.
My piano. It has basically been sitting in my parents’ living room for the past three years and nobody played it and when I returned home all eager to play it again, it sounded awfully out of tune. I didn’t get around to fixing it and I don’t think there is a point in doing it now considering that I will most likely be gone in about 5 weeks. I just wish I could take it with me. Do you think they would let me take it as carry-on??
3. Something you’re going to throw away right after you take the picture of it.
I have a headache and feel a little under the weather today, so I made myself a big cup of peppermint tea. The tea bag of course is going to be thrown out as soon as the steeping is over.
So, did you play? Let me or Kristine know and I will come and check it out :)

October 20, 2006 at 6:15 amI feel your pain about the piano. Only mine is so old, that I’m going to have to restring the whole thing before it will hold a tune…

October 20, 2006 at 7:43 amGreat SPF San!
I TOTALLY LOVE those sinks with the draining area attached. What a great idea. I’ve seen them around here, so they’re not just in Germany.
I think they would let you take your piano as carry on. There’s always that area in the back that never gets used. ;)
Thanks for dropping by!

October 20, 2006 at 8:10 amAmerican sinks don’t have that so we American consumers can spend more money to purchase additional kitchen accessories!
Japanese sinks are like German sinks LOL!

October 20, 2006 at 10:21 amOK, that is the coolest and most multi-functional sink I have ever seen. The attached draining board is ingenious, really.
Thanks for stopping by!

October 20, 2006 at 11:32 amplease don’t forget that I live in California and you always have this blogger friend that would love to meet you!
I was up at four because it took me two hours to do spf because I was headachey and throwing up. I started it much earlier, but it took that long to write and do the pictures…even holding the camera sucked. It was BAD.
*hug* thanks for coming by and caring about me.
