Monthly Favorites | February

1. I got an Odwalla Smoothie on a whim a couple of weeks ago at the supermarket because it was on sale. It was surprisingly good and I could see myself buying it again for after workouts. I could see adding protein or collagen powder to it to give it an extra boost. I like that it doesn’t have added sugars (although with all the fruit in there, natural sugar content is not low), and at 250 calories per bottle it’s a reasonable post-workout smoothie.

2. I am a bit of a ‘gadget nerd’ (no news here!) and have been really enjoying the Milestone Pod I got for Christmas. It’s a little tracking device that you clip on your running shoe. I’ll soon share a ‘first impressions’- review, but definitely wanted to include it on this list. So many insights!

3. I got this Boston Red Sox Nike Performance Hoodie for Christmas from my MIL and I looove it (I am wearing it here). It’s lightweight, breathable with a light fleece lining. Perfect for California winter weather. If only it had thumb holes…. BUT then again, it’s a) a hoodie,  b) it’s blue/gray and c) it’s an official the Red Sox hoodie. What’s not to love?

4. Have you heard of the Drop app? If you’re looking to earn cashback on everyday purchases, this app might be interesting to you. You link cards that you use for everyday purchases (like groceries, clothing, makeup, etc.) and you automatically earn reward points that you can exchange for gift cards for a ton of stores. If you are intrigued and want to give it a try *, we’ll both earn 1000 drop points when you sign up.

5. Trader Joe’s Hyaluronic Moisture Boost Serum is brand-new and I couldn’t even find a link to it on the Trader Joe’s website. I like it so far. It’s a clear serum that applies easily and you only need a little bit underneath your regular moisturizer.

6. I’ve really enjoyed the Bigelow Lemon Ginger Tea lately. It’s one of the teas I love completely without any added sugar or honey and hey, it’s lemon and probiotics and it’s good for you.

What was one of your favorite things this month?

* The post contains a referral link. If you sign up for the Drop  app (Invitation code: d6kb3) , we’ll both earn 1000 reward points.

  1. I haven’t heard of Drop before. I might have to check it out! I also want to check out that serum from Trader Joe’s, it sounds great!

    1. I love using apps like Drop. Every little thing helps ;)

  2. Always love when you share your favorites, San! I haven’t heard of Drop before, but may have to check it out. I use Ibotta and Ebates now, and my bf is always amazed when I tell him what I’ve earned back just by linking up! Also that serum at TJ’s sounds amazing; thanks for sharing! Will have to look for that tea too (and thank you–you’ve just inspired me to set some up now!).

Hope you’re having a great week, oh! And that sweatshirt is adorable and looks cozy on you :)

    1. I use Ibotta and Ebates as well and I just like to add other apps to earn a little cashback/giftcards :) My husband is also always surprised how savvy I am when it comes to that.. :)

  3. Oh, Drop sounds like a good app to use! I do appreciate getting “money” back, etc. I’ll have to look into that. Thanks for sharing all your faves this month. I do enjoy posts like these!

    1. I love to see other people’s favorites, too :)

  4. That hoodie looks very comfy and those colors!!

A February favorite for me is Fastnachs for fat Tuesday, they are the best donuts ever!

    1. It’s so funny, up until this year, I had never heard of ‘Fastnachs’ although I am pretty sure that the word must have been derived from the German word for ‘Carnival’ (we call it ” Fastnacht” = the night before Lent).

  5. Go Red Sox!! One of my favorite things this month has been kombucha. It’s not new to me but I’m obsessed with it again lately.

    1. Oh, I’ve heard so much about kombucha. I never tried it. What does it taste like?

  6. Does the milestone pod work for walking as well? Trader Joe’s recently opened in our area and since I love a good moisturizer, I will have to check it out!

    1. Yes, the milestone pod does work for walking as well.

  7. Oh love the hoodie. I’m a fan of comfy hoodies :)

My favourite thing this month has been my french sole ballet flat shoes. I’ve worn them almost exclusively this month.

    1. I am a big fan of comfy hoodies, too :) Oh, what are these flats that you talk about? I am looking for some comfy flats.

  8. Okay, I HAVE to try this lemon ginger tea, I’ve actually seen other people give it great reviews, so I’m totally going to give it a try.
The serum intrigues me, I’m always looking for skincare products. :)

    1. The tea is really good. I was surprised that I even loved it without sweetener!

  9. Oh, I haven’t had Odwalla smoothies yet, but I’m a big fan of the Naked Juice Green Machine. And I love that sweatshirt, just make it a Dodger one and I’m set :)

    1. I guess Naked Juice and Odwalla are similar? Definitely a nice treat.

  10. Oh, I love the lemon ginger tea. It’s so soothing. You look great in that sweatshirt! I’ve never tried that drink before, but it sounds interesting.

    1. The Odwalla drink reminds me a lot of a German “multivitamin” juice that I love…. it’s a little ” thicker” than other fruit punches here (I guess that’s why they call it a ‘smoothie’).

  11. Might have to give Drop a try. I started using ebates recently and am mostly mad it took me so long to do it because it’s already given me a bunch of money back. I love it!
