Friday Facts

This week was quite hectic as we’re packing up our office right now to move to a new location at the end of next week. I don’t even know if you can call it a move, because we’re just moving from one building on Campus to another, but it sure did involve a whole lot of purging, packing and overall stress at the office. We’ll be moving into a much smaller space, which makes me kind of sad, but I do admit that we were quite spoiled with our office space in the last few years. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.

Someone suggested Trader Joe’s Cold Brew Coffee on Twitter or Instagram last week and naturally, I had to try it out. I have to say I am quite impressed. It’s a coffee concentrate that you can mix with water/milk and then drink iced or hot. Now, I am usually not a fan of re-heated coffee, but in this case, since it’s a cold brew to begin with, the heated coffee is really delicious. It’s nice if you want to make a quick cup of coffee in the morning (or whenever) and don’t want to brew a whole pot. Yeah, I am admitting here that I don’t have one of those fancy single-cup coffee makers (and I don’t even know if I want one).

After a very hot last weekend, temperatures have been down to the mid-80′s in the last few days and it even has cooled down to the low 60’s at night. Heavenly! We’ve been keeping the windows open and it has been cool and breezy in the evenings. So nice! I am not quite ready for fall, but if it would stay like this right now for a little while, that would be just perfect!

This weekend we’ll be busy watching more baseball (as we have been doing all week already!). Once I am hooked, I am HOOKED! What can I say? I am not sure what else we’ll be doing, besides the usual errands… gym, shopping, laundry and the like. You know the drill.

 TGIF!

  1. I am going to have to try that TJ’s coffee! I don’t have a Keurig either and admit I really want one ha :) happy weekend!

  2. Have a happy weekend and enjoy all the baseball games. :) Ah, I wish I could do something similar… but alas, I have to work. ;-)
Now that I read that you had such a busy week, I’m even more thankful for all the work you did for me! THANKS!!

Also, I’m torn about fall, too. On the one hand, I love summer so much. But then again, it’s nice to cuddle up inside, not?

  3. hurray more baseball, i have seriously slacked this year. hoping i can remedy that before the end of the season soon, ha.

  4. I would love to try to the cold-brew coffee concentrate. I am currently feeding my iced coffee addiction by brewing coffee the night before and sticking in the fridge for the morning. Not the greatest, but not bad, either. Still, this sounds like a much tastier option.

  5. You must be an awfully happy girl after that sweep!

  6. That is good to know about that cold brewed coffee. I don’t have a Keurig or other single brew appliance either since I can’t really stop at one cup. ;) But it would be nice to have that cold brew on hand to heat up a cup on Fridays when i buy a latte at work as i could use a little caffeine while getting ready for work but don’t wan to brew a whole pot as that is too much caffeine on top of the latte i get!

  7. We’ve moved twice since I started working here four years ago and each time it’s CRAZY. Also, it’s amazing the random things my desk collects over the span of a few years.
