I hope I am not going to jinx it by saying this, but the weather here in Northern California has been absolutely perfect for the last couple of weeks. I mean, it’s August, people, and the temperatures have been hovering around 90-95ºF. Uhm yeah, pretty much unheard of for August. We had a nice relaxing weekend.
On Friday, I checked out a German deli that I knew existed, but it kind of “out there” and not really on the way to anything, so I hadn’t been there for quite some time, but oh they joy! I found some German goodies that I haven’t had for a really long time. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I had whole grain bread with Blutwurst and lots of mustard for dinner! It was delicious.
We watched “Ted” on Friday night and I must say I found the movie much more entertaining (and laughed out loud a couple of times) than I anticipated. It’s still a very unexpected movie choice for Mark Wahlberg.
On Saturday, we mostly ran errands, did our grocery shopping and I cooked Thai Red Curry for dinner (and wondered once again, why I don’t do that more often. It was delicious!)
Sunday morning was time for the Farmers Market again. I am currently obsessed with the Farmers Market and ALL THE DELICIOUS THINGS. As you can tell from the photo, I’m also quite crazy about strawberries right now. $10 bucks for 6 baskets? I couldn’t pass that up!
Later in the afternoon, we went to Oldtown and walked by the river . The breeze is always fantastic and it was just a beautiful day.
I don’t really get tired of this view. Do you?
These photos are actually from two weekends ago, when I went to my friend Susi’s daughter’s first birthday party. I forgot to share back then, but thought I throw them in here for good measure.
Other good things this weekend:
♥ reading ♥ stitching ♥ sleeping in ♥ phone date with my family ♥ “The Newsroom” ♥ iced coffee ♥ sparkling apple juice ♥ breakfast smoothies ♥ IKEA catalogue in the mail ♥ postcard from my parents ♥
How was your weekend?

August 6, 2013 at 1:56 pmMy weekend was fabulous. Lots of play, no work. Went to church and mini-golfing with my niece and nephew. And we discovered a new show…Orange Is the New Black. It was FAB!

August 7, 2013 at 1:49 pmI want your farmer’s markets. I feel like some of the food at our farmers markets are twice as expensive as yours. I go to them from time to time to support the “grown local” movement, but certainly not because they’re better priced that the store.
