Yes, I know I haven’t mentioned it in a while, but J and I are still working on watching all seasons of the X-Files. We took a little break, but we’ve officially started Season 8 now.
When the X-Files movie came out last summer, we were really tempted to  go and see it at the movie theater. But we held off last minute, because we decided we wanted to finish all nine seasons before seeing the movie, regardless of the fact that the movie apparently had no connection with the TV series, besides Mulder and Scully being the main characters.
Something that I never thought possible happened when J had me sit and start watching the X-Files. I got hooked. Honestly, I rarely get hooked on a TV show like that (ok, let’s say besides SatC and Friends). I mean really hooked.
I can barely stand going to bed when it’s 11 p.m. (and honestly, I really should already be asleep at 11 p.m.) and the last episode ended with a cliffhanger. How cruel! Now I need to know what happened to Mulder, even though the plot is getting more and more confusing and in light of all the “in between episodes”, it’s getting harder and harder to keep track of the main plot.
Some say they got really disappointed with the X-Files later in the seasons. I am hoping that this is not going to happen for me. I am really enjoying it so much right now and I have grown quite fond of Mulder and Scully. It almost feels like I personally know them. Ha! That’s what TV shows do to you, right?
BTW, I am not currently watching any TV shows that are on television. I hate the commercials and it kills me to have to wait another week for the following episode ;)
What TV shows are you hooked on?

February 11, 2009 at 1:41 amhouse m.d. LOVE IT! always and forever FRIENDS. C and i just watched a few episodes again back to back a couple weekends ago. LOST (although i’m not THAT excited about it any more) and ER. just started watching season 1 again because we have a new channel called “TNT series” where they show them. without commercials! totally agree on the TV-thing. i much prefer to download them or watch the DVD with no commercials! when it was still on i used to love gilmore girls – not enough to watch it all again though because i already know loreley and luke will end up together eventually so where’s the point ;) *sigh* all of this reminds me of our girlie-friends-weekend here in bremen. i miss you! xoxo

Off on Saturday for Berlin. Wish Greta was closer as I would go and visit and take a ton of pictures for you! I’ll be thinking about you while there, and taking lots of pictures. I’ll be posting each day too.

February 11, 2009 at 9:17 amI also hate commercials! That’s why I always watch NCIS and CSI on Netflix the day after it was on TV without it. And for Greys Anatomie and Private Practice I go to abc.com. I can watch it there with just a 30 sec commercial in between. Also the day after.
Only Desperate Housewifes I watch in “real” on Sunday night. Because my husband is out dancing. And that’s my “me time” :-)
