If you recall (or hopefully you didn’t even notice or pushed it out of your mind), I completely failed to post a round-up of the 9th annual Secret SANta Swap 2024 last year. The year was off to a rocky start and then I was never able to catch up. But, I won’t let this happen this year and without further ado, I’d like to share the 10th annual Secret SANta Swap 2025 with you. We had 12 (!) participants this year and I was delighted that so many of you were interested in spreading a little holiday cheer.
I am also very pleased to report that everybody received their packages, and it all went off without a hitch. Thank you all so much for being great team players and following through! You made this holiday season that much brighter for everyone.
I have to admit, a little part of me was very excited to see that even though I changed the swap to a “Favorite Things” swap, quite a few of you keep sending/receiving beautiful mugs for this swap. And to be honest, isn’t the holiday season just the perfect excuse for a new beautiful mug with all the holiday beverages to drink? My Secret SANta this year was Birchie, and she put together a wonderful package for me, including a mug, some (German) coffee, chocolate, and a handwritten note.
But what I really want to know is, how did she know that I had been eyeing and wanting this mug for a long time? She really picked out the perfect mug for this California girl. Don’t you love it, too?
Here are the other gifts that were swapped this year. You all went above and beyond and put together some great surprise packages. This is once again proof that we have the best community here! You were all so thoughtful. (Just FYI: I tagged the recipients (not the senders) of the packages in the captions.)
I hope you all loved what you received and enjoyed participating in the swap! I also appreciated that many of you shared your swaps on your blogs, through Instagram, or via email with me.

December 30, 2025 at 11:37 amHere’s the full story behind your gift: I fell in love with the Muir Bear when I was in CA, and after thinking about it, that was the image that I went to find on a mug. But what to put in it…somehow the idea of German goodies came to mind and I found out that there is a German market in our nearby big city. When I told Hubs that I was going to go there, he asked to tag along because he thought that would be a good place to find unique stocking stuffers. So we came home with all kinds of treats and gave the boys something a little different in their stockings this year. We can’t wait to go back!
