26: Holiday Card Roll Call

Holiday cards are probably one of my favorite things during the holiday season. So much has moved to emails and text messages, but I’ll continue to put a real card in the mail and I know that many of you feel the same way. So here I am, collecting addresses again.

I try to keep my address book updated and if you have received cards from me in the past, it’s pretty likely that I have your address (unless you recently moved, like we did.) But even if you think I have your address, please fill out this form. This way, I have a nice, tidy, updated address list in one spreadsheet. And if you know me, you know how much I love spreadsheets!

If you’re also sending cards this year, I’d be happy to send you my new address in return (in case you – for one reason or another – did not receive my moving announcement via email already).

Have a lovely holiday season and remember: only do what truly brings you joy!

And if you’re not into celebrating, I hope you can at least get a few days of peace and calm to end this year.

I am doing NaBloPoMo this month. 30 blog posts in 30 days. Come join me. #nablopomo2024 Links to the Participants List and NaBloPoMo2024 Blog Post Ideas! Happy writing!

  1. I haven’t even started my Christmas poem. Yikes. I’m delighted to exchange cards with you, San. Thanks for initiating this again. I do have your email with your new address. Have a happy Thanksgiving.

  2. I’m definitely sending out cards – one is coming to you – but Canada Post is on strike and so I do not have any idea when they will actually arrive anywhere. It’s very frustrating.

  3. I already have your card addressed (with your new address) but, ditto Nicole. I’m just hoping it gets to people before next Christmas. By the time the strike is resolved, I can’t imagine the backlog of things that will need to move through the system. Oh well. As issues go this is extremely minor and I guess I will extend the joy of Christmas with cards into the New Year??

  4. I feel so behind this year! I have only just started THINKING about cards. Ugh. Usually they are one of my favorite things about the holiday season, but this year they feel like Just One More Thing.

  5. I should do this, because I have some addresses, but not others, and if people want cards, I don’t necessarily know… Hm. I have also not even thought about cards, so I’m in Suzanne’s boat here. Have contemplated skipping the holiday aspect and maybe just, you know, trying to send cards/postcards to people more regularly. Sorry to ponder so much in your comments! Thank you for posting this, my friend. Whatever I do, you’ll get something with a stamp on it from me. ;)

  6. I’d love to swap cards with anyone interesting in taking part but Canada post is still on strike up here, so who knows if and when I could send anything to anyone. Or even receive anything. Which makes me sad. But a random postcard next year? Let me know if you want to swap.

  7. I filled out the form. Please send me your new address!

  8. I’d love your yearly card so I am looking forward. Your new one is in my address book. I just need to find some time and a brilliant idea for this years cards. I will probably not make it before Christmas. Sigh…

  9. Yay! I filled out the form and I’d love for you to email me your address! Thank you!

  10. I think I’m going to attempt to send out some Christmas cards this year – just a few since I’ll be handwriting them. Fingers crossed I can get the motivation to do it!
