25: Things {I am thankful for} Thursdays

Untitled

I am thankful for J. He’s my love and best friend and always makes me feel loved and appreciated.

I am thankful for my family (only an ocean away). Even though I don’t get to see them nearly as much as I’d like, they are always there for me. We talk multiple times a week and they’re always just a Whatsapp-message away. I am so thankful for having such awesome parents, a sister who is my best friend, a wonderful BIL, and an adorable niece and nephew; an wonderful aunt and a cousin who’s like a brother to me.

I am thankful for dear and thoughtful friends. Both,  the ones in real life and all the lovely people I’ve met online, the ones I’ve known for a long time and the ones I am just slowly getting to know. It’s the most wonderful feeling to know there are people you totally connect with.

I am thankful for the opportunity to host a dear childhood friend for Thanksgiving this year! This is a very special treat, especially because I won’t be going home for Christmas.

I am thankful for a wonderful vacation with my family here in the States this last summer. It was something that was long planned, highly anticipated, and enjoyed every minute!

I am thankful for my job. Even though the last year has been a big transition, I still love what I do, I have great co-workers, and I am so thankful for flexible work hours and paid time off.

I am thankful for a safe and cozy home. I am thankful for being able to afford rent and food and all necessities and still have a little left over.

I am thankful for good health, sweaty workouts, and healthy food that sustains me.

I am thankful for apple pie. No further comment needed, right?

I am thankful for technology and the way it has made it so much easier to keep in touch with people far, far away. For Skype and Facetime with family and friends in Germany. For my iPhone that makes me feel I have all the important people in my life in my pocket at all times.

I am thankful for the occasional handwritten card or letter in my mailbox. Those still make my day!

I am thankful for every single one of you who take time out of your busy days to stop by here in my little corner of the Internet to read my rants and stories. I am thankful for your encouraging comments and your for your friendship.

Have a happy Thanksgiving!
