- Watching the US losing to Germany and feeling sad and happy at the same time! Strange this whole two-hearts-beating-in-your-chest- thing.
- Experiencing debit card fraud and having a police officer tell you “Nah, you don’t need to file a police report. We’re not going to look into it anyway.” SAY WHAT?
- A teeny-tiny bit of rain in June yesterday in otherwise drought-stricken California. We’ll take it.
- Germany beat the US in the World Cup game today!
- Germany AND the US will advance to the last 16 knockout stage in the World Cup 2014! Hooray!
- Evening walks when the delta breeze comes in!
- Having my niece (5 1/2) tell me that she lost her first baby tooth and that the tooth fairy came to pick it up last night. Awww! She’s growing up so fast!
- Häagen Dazs ice-cream bars. Do I need to say any more?
- Trying new recipes (not all, but someof them were found on Pinterest!). Verdicts to come!

June 26, 2014 at 3:18 pmI am so out of the loop on the World Cup. I did not grow up playing or watching soccer so I feel a bit disconnected from it but i was happy to hear the US and Germany both advanced! :)
Awkward: Being the new person at work. I still have so many names to learn and yesterday I saw someone in the hall who greeted me by name and I have NO IDEA who she is.
Awesome: The fact that it hasn’t rained in the last couple of days, which is a big deal because some areas of the Twin Cities are dealing with awful flooding. :(

June 26, 2014 at 3:33 pmAwkward (and also, kind of Awesome?): Snow and 95 degree temperatures in the same week. Try dressing for that kind of uncertainty!
Awkward: The literally 8″ thick stack of accounting paperwork I finally finished, just before the end of the fiscal year.
Awesome: My boss is out of the office for 2.5 weeks! Woooooot!!

June 26, 2014 at 7:51 pmThey seriously don’t look into debit card fraud?!? That’s … sad. And scary.
Awkward: The fact that my coach is no longer talking to me because I couldn’t accept the horse she wanted to give me. Before I said no, we were like bffs!
Awesome: It’s Canada Day on Tuesday and Nathan took Monday off so this weekend will be like a family staycation :)

June 27, 2014 at 7:26 amI had debit card fraud and the bank did all the investigating. I have no idea if they caught them tho.
We’ve been sprinkling here too! Such a nice break from the heat!
As for the ice cream? Oh yeah. That’s my go to on a hot day for the long drive home from town. It just kills me when a single bite causes the chocolate side to fall off in one piece. That’s the heavenly touch!
Awkward: realizing that someone you are close to probably doesn’t have your best interest in mind
Awesome: finally getting the inheritance check at my non-profit work so I don’t have to shut the place down!!!!!!!!! Yes!

June 27, 2014 at 12:29 pmWow, can’t believe they ignore debit card fraud! =.= Hope your bank investigates it though.
I was more concerned about USA qualifying to the knockout stage than about the win. I really doubt they could have defeated Germany.
Awkward: Company confidential stuff between both my employers lol which means I don’t get sufficient information when I need it, being the only intern on the team again…
Awesome: Wide selection of Kindle books from San Francisco’s Public Library, not having to cook much during the week due to extensive prep on Sunday, getting back into crocheting lace, jogging 15 miles this week on the elliptical and only because I can read on the Kindle and jog ;)
