How about some swag?

Have you heard of Swagbucks? No?

It’s a reward program website where you can earn “virtual currency” (mostly gift cards and discounts) by shopping, searching, redeeming special offers and mostly  by participating in surveys.
Thanks to Kerri (and Katelin), who both recently mentioned that they had joined the Swagbucks site, I got reacquainted with my Swagbucks account. I signed up ages ago and then never really did anything with it… until the two girls reminded me that ‘oh yeah, you can earn some pretty awesome rewards through this site”.

It takes a little bit of time and patience initially to set up your account and answer some profile questions, so that they can filter the surveys that you most likely qualify for, but after that, points can add up really quickly. Since I jumped back on the bandwagon maybe about a month ago, I’ve already earned $35 in gift cards. I chose Amazon (because you can pretty much get anything on Amazon, plus their $5 gift cards give you the biggest bang for your swagbucks – you ‘pay’ 450 points vs. 500 points for all the other $5 gift cards), but you can also choose gift cards for other stores like Target, Paypal, CVS, and Starbucks, to name a few.  I mean, who doesn’t want some extra bucks every month, am I right?

If you have a few minutes every day to fill out an online survey, watch some short videos or do your online searches through this website, you can earn swagbucks too! Here are some tips and here’s  a referral link if you want to sign up.

Swagbucks didn’t contact me and I am not getting any compensation for posting about this. I just thought I’d let you in on this sweet deal.

  1. I had heard of this but kind of forgot about it! I am all about earning free money, so I will have to check it out. Especially if I can earn some SBUX gift cards. :) That is what I would choose so I could use them for my Friday latte.

  2. I rediscovered my account recently as well, thanks to Katelin’s post – the surveys have made earning Swagbucks so much easier and I’m loving the Amazon GCs.
