I got tagged – sort of – by Sizzle to participate in this meme. And since I always like to share facts about me with you, here are…
Ten things I love brought to you by the letter M.
Milk – I am a milk junkie. I LOVE milk. Milk in my coffee (lots of it!), milk in my tea, milk just plain by itself – hot or cold. Oh, and I also love everything that comes from milk, like all dairy products… cheese, joghurt, butter, you name it. I really have no idea how somebody could ever live without it.
Mail – Everybody who knows me knows that mail is my biggest thing. I like it in e- and snail- format. If you want to make my day – send me a letter in the mail. If you need a quick response – email me. In my world, the written word works better and faster than the phone :)
McIntyre, Joe – also a classic in my “I love”-list. But you know that already, don’t you?! ;)
Mind – Isn’t our mind the coolest thing? It’s amazing to me how it works, how it can store memories, come up with ideas and how it can invoke certain feelings. At the same time, it is a real mystery how a lump of grey matter can actually do all that; produce thought, perception, memory, emotion, will and imagination, including all of the brain’s conscious and unconscious cognitive processes in such predictable and unpredictable ways.
Money – Ha! Who doesn’t love money. Well, come to think of it, I actually don’t love it. I hate it. I only love having it. When I have enough of it and don’t need to worry about it, money can be a really good thing. Then I actually kinda start liking it again.
Music – I can not imagine living without music. As long as I can remember, I have loved to listen to it (singers and bands) and liked to play it (piano). I think it’s amazing how music can take you places or back in time, for that matter. I’ve always felt good about what music does to me. It can calm you and relax you, but also excite you and provoke you. It is truly a language in itself.
Mashed Potatoes – Made from scratch. With milk, a tad of butter and nutmeg. Divine!
Memories – are like a secret treasure. Something that nobody (!) can take away from you. We’re nothing without our memories, the good and the bad ones; preferrably good ones though. I am sort of a day dreamer and often let my mind wonder into the past. There are a lot of comfortable places that I like to visit every once in a while.
Movies – Everbody loves movies and I am no exception. Even though I sometimes prefer a good book over a movie (but book didn’t start with “m” ;)), movies are often worth the time to sit and watch. The ones that I really, really love (and could watch over and over again), I actually might own on DVD. Otherwise, I am a Netflix-girl :)
Museums – I do not go to museums nearly as often enough as I would like to. I love museums for their piece and quiet, their amazing displays and the stories behind them. Who wants to go to a museum with me, who?
If you want to participate, leave a comment on this post and I will assign you a letter. You then write about 10 things you love that begin with your assigned letter and post them on your blog. When people comment on your posted list, you give them a letter and the chain continues on and on.

February 5, 2009 at 7:24 amThat is a clever list. Good thing you got such an easy letter. X y or z would have sucked. You would have to just make up words or use the dictionary to find words you never knew existed. Haha.
