Cool Bloggers Walking Club April 2025 Edition – Week 2

It’s week 2 of Elisabeth’s Cool Bloggers Walking Club in April. I am getting steps in, but not all are intentional walks. I was still sick at home on Tuesday and Wednesday (although I tried to take a little stroll through the neighborhood and get some fresh air. I went back to work on Thursday and also started my workout routine again. And since I had some catch up to do (in case you’re skipping my Weekly Run Downs, you might not know that I am currently participating in a Power Zone Challenge, which requires three Power Zone Rides every week), walking was not my highest priority. I still ended up with a few more steps than week 1, so I am calling this a win!

Here’s the breakdown:

Tuesday, April 8

5,525 steps – 2.61 mi

Wednesday, April 9

2,761 steps – 1.27 mi

Thursday, April 10

5,600 steps – 2.55 mi

I went for a last lunchtime walk with my co-worker. He is leaving and we had to say goodbye this week.

Friday, April 11

3,475 steps – 1.62 mi

These steps came from running errands and doing some home chores. Hey, every step counts!

Saturday, April 12

3,374 steps – 1.58 mi

I was going to go for a longer walk or run today, but ended up doing a workout on the bike, so my step count for the day stayed relatively low.

Sunday, April 13,

3,912 steps – 1.87 mi

I went for a little walk around our neighborhood and ended up at our community pool. It was a pretty warm day and I decided to swim a few laps. It’s so nice to have access to a pool now because it’s going to be – and stay- hot here for the summer soon!

Monday, April 14

3,163 steps – 1.47 mi

Total steps count for week 2: 27,810 steps – 12.97 mi

You should definitely check out all the other pictures that have been shared this week on Elisabeth’s Cool Bloggers Walking Club Week 2 round-up. It’s so fun to see where people walk.

Happy Walking!

  1. I am looking out at a cold, overcast day (again – I feel like so many days have been cold and overcast this April) and longing for a community pool and sunshine. I know things have been downright awful on so many levels for you lately, so I’m glad there were moments of happiness in the mix. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the picture of the pool umbrella.

  2. Your blue skies are enviable, friend! I wish our weather wasn’t so inconsistent this time of year.

  3. I’d definitely call your walking week a win! I’m sorry you had to say goodbye to a work friend. How nice to have a community pool! I’m sure you’ll enjoy it a lot this summer.

  4. It’s nice that you have access to a community pool! Especially with how hot it gets where you live! My walking was so so this past week since Will was recovering but I got out for a few stroller walks with him. The fresh air was good for both of us, although he had to wear coats, mittens, and a hat since it was pretty cold! I’m ready for warmer weather!

  5. Great job! Love seeing that beautiful blue sky!

  6. Swimming in a pool outside in mid April. Why do I live in Chicago?

  7. Wow swomming in April. Outside. Crazy. I am happy you have pool access though. I was shortly pondering if I would be brave enough to go “anbaden” this weekend but its down to 13°C so nope…

That umbrella photo makes me so happy.
