Voter registration deadlines. There is still time. Please, oh please, register if you’re not, and make sure you vote in November.
Your earliest childhood memory is probably fake. Regardless if this assessment is true, I do have some pretty clear memories of toddlerhood and I am pretty sure that these are real memories, because the things I remember haven’t been “captured” in photographs that I could have looked at later in life (like the layout of the first apartment we lived in or the view from the window down from the 3rd floor to a window with an old lady that used to wave to me.) Do you have early childhood memories?
I usually don’t have trouble falling asleep as is, but I need to try this. How they teach people to fall asleep fast in the military.
The rise of the engagement photo shoot. Well, I guess I wouldn’t mind getting some nice couple shots taken… 13 years post-engagement. Ha.

This thread about abortion is EVERYTHING. (P.S. It’s not what you think – go read.)
I always liked cacti, but now I know how much… 50 cactus home decor finds. All the heart eyes.
What I hate about living abroad. This was an interesting read for me as Helene currently lives in my home country of Germany and I can definitely relate to some of her struggles. Then again, I could probably write a similar list about living abroad – there is always going to be something, am I right? ;)

Easy spider garland DIY – so cute :)
Do you know LAMY fountain pens? They’re a big hit in the bullet journal community and they’re from Germany (of course. Ahem.) I learned to write with them back in elementary school and I still have two of them at home.

October 16, 2018 at 9:43 pmI find that article on memories very interesting. My sister and I are less than 3 years apart and I have clear memories of things that happened when my mother was expecting her (so I’d have been 2 years old) and when my sister was born (a month and a half before I turned 3). I also have a couple of memories that have no photos so I feel like they are genuine.
Those recipes sound absolutely delicious and are making me hungry.

October 17, 2018 at 2:17 amGreat links that I’ll need to check out this weekend! The childhood memory thing is interesting. There are some things that I really don’t know if they are real or not. The clearest memories I have don’t start until I was around 4 or 5.

October 17, 2018 at 7:09 amI VOTED YESTERDAY! there IS AN EARLY VOTING PLACE CLOSE TO WHERE I WORK SO I DECIDED TO GET IT OUT OF THE WAY SINCE WEEK NIGHTS ARE PRETTY RUSHED FOR US BETWEEN SPENDING TIME WITH pAUL, MAKING DINNER AND PUMPING. iT FEELS GOOD TO HAVE MY CIVIC DUTY OUT OF THE WAY. I’M HOPEFUL THAT MIDTERMS WILL RENEW MY FAITH IN OUR COUNTRY – A BIT. bUT I’m ALSO PREPARED TO BE REALLY DISAPPOINTED. :/
sO WE TOTALLY BUCKED THE TREND OF GETTING ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS TAKEN. wE HAD A REALLY SHORT ENGAGEMENT (5 MONTHS) AND KNEW WE WOULDN’T BE ABLE TO GET ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS DONE IN TIME TO USE THEM FOR OUR SAVE THE DATES SO WE SKIPPED THEM. tHEY WERE PART OF THE PACKAGE WE PURCHASED FROM OUR PHOTOGRAPHER BUT SHE GAVE US A CREDIT TOWARDS A WEDDING ALBUM. sEVERAL PEOPLE TOLD ME WE SHOULD GET THEM DONE SO WE WOULD BE COMFORTABLE WITH OUR PHOTOGRAPHER BUT IT WORKED OUT JUST FINE AS WE CLICKED WITH HER WHEN WE INTERVIEWED HER. I DO LOVE LOOKING AT OTHER PEOPLE’S ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS, THOUGH, AS YOU HAVE MORE FLEXIBILITY IN WHERE YOU TAKE THE PICTURES/WHAT YOU WEAR/ETC.

October 17, 2018 at 10:43 pmthe wedding industry already takes so much money. ;-) i’d rather take “engagement photos” however many years after the fact. lol. call them “anniversary photos” – i do still love seeing other people’s photos though. also i am being more cognizant of when i say “guys” – trying to stick to saying “you” :p

October 30, 2018 at 5:58 amFor some reason, I never learned how to fall asleep anywhere, but I do have a lot of friends who can pass out at the drop of a hat just about anywhere. I’m the worst when it comes to sleeping on planes or anywhere other than a bed, really.
