13: Recipe | (Rhineland) Potato Soup with Green Beans + Pancetta

30832230202_c7e77751c3_cWe love our Rhineland potato soup and I honestly should make it more often. It might not look like much, but I promise you, it’s so good. Usually I would add “Mettwürstchen” (which is a kind of cured and smoked sausage, very popular where I am from), but since I can’t get them here and you gotta make do, I’ve decided to add pancetta and green beans.

  1. Mmm, this sounds really yummy!! I love potato soup so will have to try this sometime. And it’d be a good way to use some of the green beans from my garden. Phil’s getting a little sick of having them as a side so it will be good to incorporate them into a soup!

  3. I believe that the best and yummiest dishes always look kinda ugly! So this is just fine. However my potato soup doesn’t have green beans or pancetta.
