drinking Teeccino Herbal Coffee. I was very hesitant to try this (I love my coffee!), but they were handing these out at our local Co-op and let’s just say: I’m intrigued. Very. Give this a try and tell me what you think. I was honestly very pleasantly surprised and it’s a nice non-caffeine afternoon treat. I tried the Dandelion Caramel Nut and the Dandelion Dark Roast. Both really good, the Dark Roast is closer to the taste of coffee.

logging more miles at the park.

spending some time with my long-time blog friend Kristen last weekend. Yay for blogger meet-ups!

reading Overwhelmed: Work, Love, and Play When No One Has The Time by Brigid Schulte for the #Postal Bookclub. I am about 30% in and it’s an interesting read. I definitely can relate to the “overwhelm”-feeling (and I don’t even have kids or pets!) and wonder if some of it is more of a mental thing than anything else. I’ll probably discuss this more after I finished this book.

listening to the “Let’s talk TJ’s” -podcast. Do you read the “What’s good at Trader Joe’s“-blog? They started a podcast a little while ago. Funny to listen to people talking about TJ’s products… and about many that I have never tried or even heard of!

wearing skirts again this summer.

looking forward to three days in the field this week. It’s nice to get out of the office sometimes!

watching the European Soccer Championship. I am so glad that ESPN is broadcasting all the games! GGERMANY!

enjoying the two issues of “Runner’s World” magazine I got in the mail last week.

amazed (but not surprised) by the kindness of my friends. I have some of the best. The end.

eating GoodPop Popsicles. I had a coupon for a free box on my Safeway app, so I obviously picked up a box on my last grocery run. You guys, they’re really tasty and refreshing!

  1. GO GERMANY!!!
    BTW – I signed up for another 5K, in 4 weeks…… Just because….. WE’ll see how that goes :)
have a great week, stay cool (is it even hot up in your area – we will reach the triple digits today :(
    xo

    1. You go, girl! I wish I could run that 5k with you!

It’s pretty hot here in NorCal, too… it’ll hit the triple digits again this week. xo

  2. Those popsicles looks like the perfect summer treat! I will have to pick some up next time I at Whole Foods (looks like that’s the only place that sells them in my area). I avoid dairy now and their dairy-free flavors sound so good!

I read Overwhelmed, too, and related to a lot of what was in the book, even though I don’t have kids! On a side note, sometimes I feel like I have to justify why I am busy or that I’m not entitled to say I am busy because I don’t have kids… It’s not like anyone has ever called me out and said – “yah but you don’t have kids,” but I sometimes feel like people are thinking that I won’t know what it means to be busy until I have kids… But that’s probably paranoia on my part… And the awkward feeling of pretty much being the only person in my local group of friends that doesn’t have kids.

    1. I can totally relate… I also sometimes think I have to “justify” why I am busy because I don’t have kids… I understand (and acknowledge) that kids add a completely new level of busy-ness to someone’s life, but I do believe that we have the right to say that we’re busy too.

I had the coconut-lime popsicles and can recommend them :)

  3. I have to say, I can’t wait to be able to have an actual afternoon cup of coffee again. Even just a small one because I REALLY need the caffeine kick in the afternoon after lunch. Although that tea sounds interesting.

Did you see what the Croatian fans did during the Croatian-Czech Republic match?? People are RIDICULOUS! P.S. I love soccer.

  4. Summer is basically popsicle season & I LOVE it. That’s about all I love, ha.
