(super) EXCITED ABOUT | the girls’ weekend at Tahoe that I just returned from. It was so nice to get away and have some girl time with my friend Susi and some other (new) friends.
LOVING | that I got to hit the slopes on Sunday after a much too long break. Didn’t mind the view either!
ENJOYED | working on a puzzle (or two) this weekend. I had wanted to do a puzzle for a long time, but I never find the time to start one (and we don’t really have space to keep it up for a couple of weeks to work on progressively). But hey, isn’t this National Parks puzzle so cool??!
EATING | soups and stews. My favorite during the winter months. Share your favorite recipe with me in the comments.
DRINKING | green tea.
READING | a couple of fitness and nutrition books that I picked up at Barnes and Noble. We had some gift cards that we needed to use and I am excited to dive in.
WORKING ON | drinking at least 60 oz of water every day. It’s a constant work in progress, but I am doing pretty good right now.
TRYING TO | catch up on all the ‘new year’s posts’ before January is already over, ha.
GIVING | a new planner a go. I decided to ditch bullet journaling (for now) and go with a traditional planner again for 2020. It was a spur of the moment decision, when I saw this pretty planner at Home Goods. With it being January already, I knew I didn’t want to delay the decision any longer, so let’s see how this thing goes.
SIGNED UP | for my first race this year. I’ve been pretty consistent with my workouts even through the holidays, but it was time to get some sort of goal on the calendar.
What’s going on with you currently?

January 21, 2020 at 7:36 amYour girls weekend sounded fun! Yay for skiing – I know that is an activity that you love.
I’m currently coming off a lovely 3-day weekend. Yesterday was particularly wonderful as Paul slept a little later so I got a great night of sleep for a change (we’ve been dealing with early wake up recently). I made the day a shouldless day since daycare was open and it was wonderful! I sometimes keep Paul home with me when I have a day off but it’s harder to do that in the winter because being cooped up all day with a toddler gets old fast!

Here’sa recipe in making tonight that’s always a big hit (extra brownie points for being so easy to whip together!).

January 22, 2020 at 11:42 amI am so happy that you got to have a girls getaway weekend AND go skiing! That must have filled you up so much. <3
I'm trying to use a paper planner this year. I usually abandon them after a few weeks, but I'm trying to be much more intentional about how I used my planner this year, and hopefully it sticks!

February 3, 2020 at 2:42 amI love puzzles and I am obsessed once started I usually get the 1000 finished in about two days. I got one for Christmas and it was so good. But its always more fun to do together. Yours looks tough.
