  1. Whoa! I need to try the baking soda trick. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Oooh that soup recipe sounds amazing you always share the best links!! Interested in hearing about deciding not to have kids (interestingly this has come up with people who keep asking when / if we’ll have another and … one pandemic baby isn’t enough?? 🙄). Honestly everyone just needs to mind their business. Anyway excited to bookmark and go through!

    1. So glad people (you!) are enjoying these link lists!
I am making this soup tonight! Will report back!

  3. It’s true that periods can sometimes come across as passive-aggressive or sound overly serious. When texting, I often use smileys to lighten it up. But I like the suggestion to just simply omit the period and break up a long text into several texts. I’ll try that next time!

    1. I am usually not a fan of the overuse of “emojis” but they definitely help the communication in texts!

  4. Interesting article on women deciding not to have kids. Sometimes I have to remind myself I’m not the only one who has made this decision! I’m 38 and can write a book on the nosy and downright rude folk who think I have to justify this choice. Yes I’m married without kids and no I don’t have to give you 20 reasons why.
Thank you for sharing the link!

    1. Luckily, I have a lot of lovely friends who decided to not have kids, so I feel like I am in good company…. but yeah, people can definitely be nosey and there are a gazillion reasons why people don’t have kids, so there’s really no place for anyone to judge!

  5. That baking soda trick is cool! I need to try that this weekend! I usually have the drain off our meat but that sounds like a way better solution, especially if it makes the meat taste even better!

    1. It sounds like THE solution to cooking ground meat (have not tried it myself yet!).

  6. Oooh, that soup looks good! I might have to drop the rice, though – not a fan of rice in soups, for some reason. The reasons for being childfree were also very interesting – as someone who does not have kids, I’m fortunately past the age of people asking me if I’m going to get pregnant anytime soon (sigh…).

    1. You can definitely drop the rice or rotate in some other grains (farro, barley) or even potatoes instead!

      1. Good to know, thanks! Longwood Gardens, near Philadelphia, makes this wonderful mushroom soup (not vegan, thanks to liberal use of heavy cream!) and this sounds like the closest approximation I’ve found. Minus the rice. :)

  7. Thanks so much for sharing my soup recipe! I hope you enjoy it! 💗

Love the assortment of links you share, so much interesting reads 😍

    1. We made it last week. It was delicious!
