Friends, this year has been a doozy, and not in a good way. We’ve all been going through a lot. So, in order to end this crazy year on a somewhat positive note, I decided to host another Secret Santa Mug Swap. It’s going to be the 5th year in a row and I feel this year it’s more important than ever to spread some holiday cheer. I am expecting that most of us will have a very different holiday season this year than usual and I am hoping we can lift each others’ spirits a little bit by putting a nice little holiday package in the mail for someone. What do you say?

I decided to keep the rules a little bit looser this year. I thought we could maybe put together a little Christmas package, it doesn’t necessarily have to include a mug. Although personally, as a self-identified mug addict, I still think mugs are always a fun gift, I am just not making it mandatory. If you have some other good ideas, please let your imagination run free.

Ok, let me give you the details:

+ Sign up to participate (see link below). I am going to keep the sign-up open for a week. Sign-up closes on November 19th.

+ You’ll receive a name + address, plus some information about your swap participant via e-mail on November 20th.

+ Put together a little surprise holiday package for your Secret Santa participant. My suggestion is to spend around $15 (plus postage) or whatever you’re comfortable with.

+ Please send out your package by Friday, December 4th (to allow extra time for delivery). Hopefully, that will give you enough time to shop and get the package on its way. I just want to make sure that everybody receives their package before Christmas. (The flat rate medium box goes for $15 this year. I usually like to use the flat rate package because you can fill up the package with goodies and make the postage worthwhile).

+ The swap is open to US residents only. Unfortunately, international mail is too unreliable (and expensive) right now to open it up to our Canadian friends or people in other parts of the world. Sorry. I know, I am bummed about that, too.

+ Share your Secret Santa gift(s) with us on December 21th on your blog or Instagram with the hashtag: #SecretSantaMugSwap2020

If you’re interested in participating this year, please sign up through this link:

SECRET SANTA (MUG) SWAP 2020 SIGN-UP FORM

Please remember: if you sign up, you’re expected to purchase a mug or other gifts and send them to your Secret Santa partner by December, 4th. If you can’t commit to this deadline, please be fair to the other participants and maybe consider signing up another time.

I hope you join in. And please let me know if you have any questions!

  1. Yeah, I like the idea of looser rules, even though I love mugs (especially the one I got through the Secret Santa Mug Swap last year!!!) I’m in – going to sign up now!!! Thanks friend for hosting it again!!!

    1. Hooray, I am so glad you’re participating again! <3

  2. Wishing you so much fun with your secret Santa

    1. Thank you! I wish you could join.

  3. I missed out last year, so I’m excited to be back in for this year!

  4. Just signed up!

    1. Hooray! I am excited!

  5. Oh, I wish I could participate. But a) I stink at picking out gifts (even little ones) and b) I don’t want to commit to the shipping deadline and not make it for some reason. :( Maybe next year?

    1. We’d love to have you whenever you feel ready ;)
