+ Sometimes the easiest knitting pattern (simple garter stitch) bring out this color gradient yarn the best. If you know me (and if you look at my card designs), I am all for elegant simplicity and this is also true for my knitting projects.
+ You know, I really don’t mind when people are friendly at the gym. In fact, if you see the same people in the morning, it’s nice to give somebody a smile and wish a good morning. However, I really don’t appreciate when someone stands in front of my treadmill to make small talk (for longer than 1 minute) when I am doing a hard workout and just try to get through it AT 6 AM IN THE MORNING, thankyouverymuch.
+ If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen that I baked granola again last weekend. I switched up the ingredients a little bit and added almond butter and omitted the maple syrup and it’s so good. I love it best with plain yogurt. Do you have a favorite granola recipe? Share with me in the comments.
+ I am running a (virtual) progressive marathon this month with some German friends from one of the few Facebook groups I belong to. In a ‘progressive marathon” you run (or walk) 26.2 miles over a period of several weeks and the end results are based on cumulative time. Apparently, some runners find “progressive races” ridiculous, because well, you haven’t really run a marathon (in one swoop), so what’s the point? But I beg to differ. I think it can be hugely motivating to get people (as a group) moving on a regular basis. We’re all runners of different levels, so we all do the best we can, but it’s so cool to cheer each other on and make sure we all get out there more often. Have you ever done a (virtual) progressive race?
+ Today is Father‘s Day in Germany, but Father‘s Day in the US is not until June 17, which means it wasn’t really on my radar until now. At least I’ll get to talk to my Dad today. On a side note, Mother‘s Day is on the same day in Germany as it is here, in case you were wondering. (You probably weren’t, but that’s okay. I thought I’d tell you anyway.) What I want to know is: when is “Favorite Aunt’s Day”?
What’s one thing in your mind today?
