Around the Interwebs

If you read one post today, make it this one. This is really important: Why you should care about Net Neutrality*.

* Net neutrality is the principle that Internet service providers and governments regulating the Internet should treat all data on the Internet the same, not discriminating or charging differentially by user, content, website, platform, application, type of attached equipment, or mode of communication.

6 things you need to recover from every day

This made me laugh, but also cry, because unfortunately it’s true: 39 problems all girls with thin hair have gone through.

11 things I wish you knew about my child-free marriage… because there is no right or wrong when it comes to having children.

Do you remember the times before the Internet?

How to organize your information for better decision-making. I knew there was a reason I always keep a gazillion tabs open!

Things to do in San Francisco this summer

I used to hand-write so much when I was younger. Let’s not let handwriting die

Around the blogosphere

We really shouldn’t feel ashamed to call ourselves bloggers.

Do you also struggle with compliments? You’re not alone, but here’s how to take a compliment even if it makes you feel uncomfortable.

I love those ideas: Creating healthy eating habits.

Do you have a bullet journal? I don’t, but I am seriously considering it for next year: 7 Summer Spreads Ideas for Bullet Journals

Deliciousness

Oh, that sounds more like dessert than breakfast, am I right? Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Granola

Tomatoes, bread? Gimme! Tuscan Panzanella Salad.

Time to eat more fish: Grilled salmon kebabs.

Share a good link with me in the comments!

  1. Sea Salt Dark Chocolate granola?? That sounds AMAZING! Lots of good links here, I’ll be sure to check them out!

  2. 39 problems all girls with thin hair have gone through. This one hit home. I have hair down to the middle of my back but it’s thin. I refuse to go short because I feel like I will look bald.

  3. I looooove handwriting, & I am so disappointed that kids aren’t learning cursive anymore!

  4. Thanks for sharing! I love looking at other people’s bullet journals. I’ve thought of using one next year for keeping track of entertainment type of things – like books to read/books read, etc.

  5. Ok, so real talk, that merit badge stuff is fantastic…but I think I could only get four of them. Maybe five? Because I’m the worst at unpacking my suitcase, I always push the garbage down, I’m always late to RSVP, etc. Basically I’m like half an adult, but it’s fine. I’ve accepted it.

  6. Great links here! I always love when people do roundups of links because I feel like there’s just so much good quality stuff out there that gets overlooked!

  7. FUN!! I always love to read what’s happening on the interwebs, and excited to check these out. Thanks so much for sharing! The one about the child-free marriage interests me the most (I wonder if it’s about what I THINK it’s about–that people can’t seem to mind their own and that every couple is different and not everyone needs babies. Okay, stepping down off my soapbox, ha!).

XOXO and hope you are having a great week!

  8. The post about child-free marriage was very interesting to read – can relay to that a lot.

  9. The merit badges are too funny!

  10. The merit badges are funny! I have earned several of them many times over! That article about childless marriages is a good one. I wish people were less judgmental about family planning decisions (or people’s life decisions in general). It’s too bad that people just assume that a marriage couple is going to have kids. We shouldn’t shame people for making the responsible decision to not have children if it’s not something they truly want/works for them.

  11. Though I’m not currently in a relationship, I’ve always known that I did not want children. Your link about this hit home! I recently found an old video from when I was in college (probably 15 years ago), where my aunts were telling me how “I’d come around one day, don’t say that!” — and it was literally just after the same aunts were saying nearly the SAME THING to me as a 35 year old. Ladies, I’ve not changed my mind one iota all this time. I’m good, thanks.
