Current Book(s):  I’m currently (still) reading “Love walked in” by Marisa de los Santos for the Postal BookClub.

Current Playlist: My running play list.

Current Shame-Inducing Guilty Pleasure: Boursin + Crackers. Oh my. Have you tried it? If not, you need to get some at Trader Joe’s. It’s so good.

Current Color: Magenta.

Current Drink:  Honeybush Vanilla tea.

Current Food: Apple-Cinnamon-Steel Cut Oats.

Current Favorite Show: Girls.

Current Wishlist: Honestly? Moving to a bigger/nicer place (with a craft room!).

Current Needs: A couple more pieces of good  amazing news would be nice! I didn’t plan to start this year with so many depressing posts (I swear!).

Current Bane(s) of my Existence: The sleeves on my cardigan knitting  project. I don’t really enjoy knitting with 5 needles as it is, but switching colors in the round is even more tricky.

Current Celebrity (Girl) Crush: Juliane Moore. She just won the Oscar last night. She’s so amazing (and beautiful).

Current Outfit: Jeans, long-sleeve, sneakers.

Current Excitement: That my bff’s surgery  on Friday went well and that she’s recovering. I had the candle (photo) burn for her all through the night on Thursday (because her surgery was Friday morning German time) and I was so relieved when I heard that everything went well. I know there is more to come, but I am so glad the surgery is over! Thanks so much for all your thoughts and well wishes. It means so much!

Current Link: I came across this blog, Trash is for tossers, when I was looking into some earth-friendlier health and home options. Lauren writes about her “Zero Waste Life” and has some awesome tips + tricks up her sleeve. While this lifestyle might not be for everyone, if you’re looking to reduce your carbon footprint, it might be worth checking her blog out.

What’s up with you CURRENTLY?

  1. So glad your friend’s surgery went well! I really, really, really hope she recoups quickly and doesn’t have to see the inside of a hospital again for surgery.

I currently want to curl up in my bed or on the couch and wait till it gets warm again. (Not happening.)

  2. Glad to hear the surgery went off without a hitch! I also recently heard about Trash is for Tossers. I think it was linked from an article about how she only had a jar of trash over two years. Motivating, but I don’t think I could do it. ;)

  3. So glad to hear your friend’s surgery went well! That is a beautiful candle. I am currently very tired mentally from prepping for my move next month – I always stress myself out when it’s not necessary.

  4. I am glad your friend’s surgery went well. I hope she is healing well from it and feeling stronger every day. That was a sweet idea to light a candle for her!

I’m currently super happy that it’s 28 degrees outside right now which just goes to show how cold it’s been lately as most wouldn’t be excited about weather that is just below freezing. I’m also currently battling the start of a cold which I hope does not develop into a full fledged cold because I do not have time to be sick this week!

  5. So happy for your friend and everybody involved in her life that the surgery went well. Whishing her a smoothly speedy recovery!
I can’t wait for the weekend to come (I know, I know – I never can…). But this time I am super excited ’cause we are going to surprise my husbands BFF for his birthday party – can’t wait to see his face :)

  6. Ah, I am so happy for your friend that all went well! Been thinking of her as well! Hoping for a quick and smooth recovery!
Juliane Moore is amazing and that Oscar was really deserved!
I cannot wait to see your cardigan finished! I’m sure it will be beautiful!
Happy Tuesday, sweet friend, hoping for some good news for you in the near future!

P.S. Thank you so much for your sweet birthday card, it just came in the mail today!! What a wonderful surprise! You are just the sweetest! Hugs xxx

  7. Glad everything went well with your friends surgery, hope she will recover quickly without any problems.

I am currently a little (or more like A LOT) freaked out because we really have to get going with the renovations at my parents house. We have appointments almost every day with builders, plumbers, heating engineers, roofers and many more. Looked at bathroom tiles and found a fireplace we like…and I am scared to add up all the numbers and faint because it will be waaay to expensive.

  8. I’m glad your friend’s surgery went well! I’m currently trying to come up with indoor activities for my stir crazy kids – it’s almost -20 today and we’re all ready for spring to get here already!

  9. So happy to hear your friend’s surgery went well! Sending lots of prayers and good thoughts for a quick recovery!
